I'd like to catch a train and use my bike to get from the station to my destination. I only catch the train about 3-4 times a year but never with my bicycle and can't recall ever seeing one on a train. Are there any rules regarding taking a bike on the train?

Report to the police, get them to go with the charges. The parents should come to you, if they have any interest in not having their kid charged. Assuming that jumping a red and causing damage to property while not having a license is an offence worthy more than just a fine. If not, go to a lawyer but make sure your damages make sense compared to the lawyer fees. If not, you can find out if the Small Claims Court can help you (no lawyers involved).

+1 for Coral Wetsuits. They aren't the most advanced suits but are very reasonably priced, custom fit and last forever. I use them for surfing wetsuits though.

I currently ride a 2001 Gary Fisher Wahoo, which I found gathering dust in my parents garage. Enough said. I'm looking for a decent beginner 29er. I have about R8,000 to spare. However, I am happy to consider a cheaper bike if it will serve my purposes. I am currently considering the Axis A30 and Axis A40, as they appear to be good value. Your thoughts and suggestions would be much appreciate.
