  1. Been here in Durbs since yesterday. Having a lkr run this morning on the beachfront,but sadly no surfer tjerries ha ha ha. I forgot how much walking is done at Ushaka. Since the family wants to visit the aquarium I could not say no. But I told them I wont be doing that much walking again before the C. The weather looks pretty good sofar. Hope it stays like this.

  3. I hate loop running. The only way I will run loops, if I am doing 400-800m Sprints, that's it....
  4. I must actually watch Twin Peaks S1 and S2 again.
  5. Cosmo was my fav Magazine in my teens, we spend many a hour together. Much better than FHM.
  6. Jeez Stretch, You like living on the edge. I stay away from running in the dark or after 5pm. To afraid I will get sick or injured.
  7. I have always picked mine up at Durbs. Just so much easier, and who can resist those overpriced cloths.
  8. Just a noob kind of question. I have been out of the Comrades thing for a while now. How do we collect our race packs etc. Do they still post you that little card that we must use to collect your goody-bag etc. It has your race no on, id no and at which venue you will collect your stuff.

  11. I Quickly went home and watch about 30min. Not to bad. Just as strange as what I've remember. Except everyone is now much much older and uglier.
  12. Luckily I am leaving Monday Morning Early. So by this time next week, I will be almost on the beach.

  14. Not a lot. I was still a rookie. Jeez, think I was like 20 or 21. 28-30km was my Max run on a weekend. If I can recall correctly I did like 60-70KM per week. We didn't have GPS watched back then, so we had to manually pen it in our log books.
  15. Agree, I had Malaria before my very first Comrades, and rested 2 weeks, and sill finished it. I am so Happy to be running less nowadays. .

  20. I suggest you spend more time on doing some sprint work. Intervals, hill sessions etc. You will see how fast you will go.

  22. Ah no Stretch. I hope you feel 100% better in the morning. Its this damn cold and snow all of a sudden.
  23. What a horrible last week of hard training before tapering. My legs were dead tired,and couldn't do what I planned to. But I guess I wont get any fitter. Now for the tapering.
