  1. I guess a couple of months. But that's if you do it regularly.
  2. My Suunto said mine was over 2100m, but Strava told me the same as Jacked above, 1802m
  3. We moved into our new house on the weekend, and had no time to run. I Forgot how much energy-sapping it is to unpack all the sh@t you've stored up over the years. But I did enter our Annual Prawn Carnival 10km (Actually 9.5km) Night Trail run. And I won the race . But no Prize Money or Newspaper Interviews afterwards. . Only a cold beer and a goody-bag.
  4. I really dont like eating after a run, but had the best burger and Ice cold beer in our Nedbank Club Tent at the Comrades. I really felt so much better after that burger. Will try it more this year after a long run.
  5. Jeez I only run about 5-8km. I am feeling dead tired. We have our local Prawn Carnival 10km night trail run this coming friday, so I will try and push myself against these young okes. Lol. Will also up the running a little bit in July.
  6. Cramps,Sore legs and Lactic Acid doesnt care if you are in the A-Batch or H-Batch. We are all sore as Sh@t the next day. Lol.
  7. Busy watching The Mist. 1st episode was okish.
  8. Me Too. I am sitting here coughing and lungs burning. If this challenge was 2 months later I would do it again. But my body is still in recovery mode.lol
  9. So I did my #MyMile challenge on Strava. Dammit my legs and lungs are prob still in Durban. I had to do my run on a soccer field. But jeez, its much harder than I have imagined. Did a 5:33. But felt as I have never run a single km in my life.
  10. Done.
  11. This must surely be the busiest thread ha ha ha.
  12. Excatly. And saturday nigh my wife and i went out to diner and we order a bottle of wine. Jeez after the second glass I was feeling lekker light headed. Ha ha. The perks of being fit lol
  13. I think I will try it today. Did a slow 9km run on Saturday, but jeez, the legs felt heavy and slow.
  14. I just used Coke, Energade, banana and potato...
  15. I have never ever run the Comrades with Gels or GU's. But I told my wife I will have to start practising it if I want to improve. Because my blood sugar dropped that last 5 km a lot. Lost lots of time there.
  16. The only thing they must change, is their Up Run finish venue. I hate that race track....
  17. I don't know. Luckily for me, we are used to train in 32-35'C Heat, so the heat isn't really a problem for us Lowvelders . I think to little training and maybe running with a niggle or being sick was the biggest prob.
  18. Why am I still running. Think brain shut down and forgot its the finish line lol
  19. Sorry I mean last year I had no base to work from. Lol. Going to do lots of speed work these coming 7 weeks and then see how it goes.
  20. Hi Ferret. Yes I will be there. I will be trying my hardest to run a sub 1:30. I think I did a 1:33/34 last year, not sure. But also no real base to work from. I will try to catch your slip stream. Lol
  21. They were prob MTB'ers. Roadies never greets
  22. I will try to get over 200-300m in on my long runs. But i am staying in a flat part of ZA so hilly runs are a rarety here.
  23. Ha ha ha, cant believe it. I only noticed you at 3km to go. I saw Stretch at the back of your number and I knew here is a hubber ha ha ha. You went out ahead of me when I begged 2 old people if I can have one of their Koeksisters. My bloodsugar level was dropping at a alarming rate. From there is didnt see you again until we exited the finishline. Atleast we got a pic together ha ha ha
  24. I think so. I will def be bottom 10%
