Checked that, can the hub body be worn?

I have just changed the free wheel hub on my mavic c29ssmax rear wheel. The cassete has some play and i can't work out what the problem is. Has anyone experienced this problem with mavic hubs? Help

Did you have the famous chicken braai on Saturday night. Last year my partner had the same issue.Maybe one or two of those thousands of chickens are a little bitgreen?
