  1. Photo was taken at LBS... wish they were all mine...
  2. Got a new silverback slade 4... good looking and decent spec bike for the price... very happy
  3. my stupid friend lent me his spare bike and now I am addicted...
  4. Specs below: http://www.rapide.co.za/pJAVA%20ESPRESSO%20HT%20FRAMESET/Java-Espresso-HT-Frameset.aspx#.UGsxZ01vNTI It is so cheap... very tempting....
  5. I am going to make your decision even harder. Have you considered this: http://www.momsenbikes.com/bikes.cfm?prod=al126_12 Good luck hehe
  6. I would rather go for something like this: http://www.bicycling.co.za/bike-buyers-guide/a60/
  7. Also consider the GT Zaskar 29 Elite.....http://www.obike.co.za/Products/ProductsB.aspx @ R12495 you get some decent wings and have spare cash for some extras
  8. It is a hard choice to make.... I am also deciding between a 26" Dually or an 29" HT... I have also read a few threads regarding this topic and my conclusion is: It depends on what type of riding you want to do, secondly what you feel comfortable with, and lastly what look appeals to you. And if all else fails, flip a coin...
  9. I commute to the Centurion Gautrain each day. Been doing so for the past 6-7 months and loving it. There was the odd day or two where I did take the car when I was really not keen on cycling (those cold dark winter mornings). Luckily I don't have too much of an issue with hygiene as my commute is only 2.1km Things I have learned: Make sure you don't forget your lights on and come back to find the batteries are flat Carry at least 2 spare tubes for the time you have two flats. Don't forget you Gautrain card at home (double face palm).
  10. Hi DJR, Thanks, I must say I have been enjoying the hub a lot, maybe too much. It is really addictive once you get stuck in.
  11. Hi SwissVan, Yes, there is a bike bay inside the station where you can lock your bike safely (bring your own bike lock obviously) and I have been commuting to work on my bike for the past 6 months, almost everyday, without any issues.
  12. My trusty old steed has taken me to the Gautrain today! It's and epic way to start my day! http://www.hotelandrestaurant.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Gautrain.at_.Centurion.Station.jpg
