  1. New start procedure for the World Funrace Champs...
  2. Still trying to master the talking whilst not being able to breath thing.
  3. Well if ever you needed a very worthy partner, I think you just found 1. Btw Christiaan, Have you figured out yet how NOT to win a race you enter??
  4. If I get 1 of the jabs in the leg, Will I be able to pick up pick up cadence and power on my Garmin Unit?
  5. Why do you assume we identify as cats?
  6. Saw you out yesterday, Went past you and a few guys headed towards Fish Hoek circle, Then you came past me again on the back of the train of okes racing in single file DC style then you pulled in by the famous wall before the dip down in Glencairn to the foot of Black Hill, I was on your wheel. #PanicTraining
  7. Yes 3rd party tests are allowed but will be scrutinized apparently before entry will be permitted. And you are correct, there are a number of places doing tests for less than R250 which is the route many people I know of are going.
  8. LOL I didn't say it was the Argentinian league????
  9. On this whole test thing, Why in SA do they feel the need to put the nose swab all the way up into the back of your pupil almost? I've been following Ben Fosters Youtube Channel (CyclingGK) and he shows their tests done and the ladies literally put the swab into their nose no deeper than most people would put their finger. So whose doing it wrong, The Pro football clubs in Europe or the SA peeps??
  10. We have a very similar idea for race day!!
  11. The new Specialized helmet with mips and ANGI. Also there are quite a number of the Garmin computer models which have this functionality too and watches as Nico stated above.
  12. Are you still supposed to have matches to burn by Edinburgh?????? I thought the race was 1st to the top of Hospital Bend?? I'm definitely in the wrong group then....
  13. Almost impossible, last bunch is off just after 9, Not 10am anymore. So you'll need to ride a 2:20'ish first lap in order to make it back in time. What i did though was the year i never made it back, I went down the main road, through Wynberg and onto the M3 from Constantia and caught the back guys, there weren't many so I turned right at the end of the M3, over Ou Kaaps, Down into Fish Hoek and linked up at the bottom as you turn right towards Chappies. if you don't want to do Ou Kaaps, carry on down main road, You may catch the bike markers before Jubilee or you can just turn right at Fish Hoek circle and then get plenty riders turning off Kommetjie road aswell.
  14. I did a 3:34 from 1E in those windy conditions including having to stop on Suikers with a proper cramp. Average speed was 30.56km/h
  15. Not sure of the timing splits but you'll need to make sure you've got just over a 32km/h average.
  16. PPA have punished me quite a bit it seems, So my seeding is back down to 1E unfortunately, But on the bright side, with the lack of riding and increased eating I've been doing the past 3 or so months, 1E is probably just within my reach, Maybe even 1 group too high.
  17. What bunch are you in? I usually don't mind falling off up Edinborogh Drive because I've always managed to latch back on alone the M3 before Blue Route. The nice long downhill with open road infront and no riders tapping brakes all the time(and ofcourse gravity) usually helps with that. Oh and a tandem or 2..
  18. This is a fact.
  19. I'm a helluva lot shorter than you and not much lighter than you currently, I've got form 300km+ a week training to quite possibly not even 300km in the past 2 months in total, So the pace might even be too hot to handle currently. Hopefully I'll see you on the road on race day or perhaps even before then.
  20. I've seen you rolling around the Peninsula quite often in recent times, Any chance I can hide behind you on race day?
  21. What's the wind looking like for race day?
  22. The test is in the interest of of everyone's safety, Correct? Well how is testing only those who are not vaxxed safew for everyone when again, even if you ARE vaxxed you may still be carrying and may still contract the virus? If the CT trust feel that they need to then test only the unvaxxed, then that should be at the cost of the organizers as I'm sure it will not be more than 20% of the entrants or they should refund those who do not wish to pay the R250 for the test as again, when the guys paid their entry fee, the rule of being vaxxed was not in the T&Cs.
  23. In all fairness to both parties, vaxxed and unvaxxed, CTCT organizers should then refund all those who refuse to pay the R250 for the test and choose not to do the race as when their entry fees were paid, the compulsory antigen test or fully/partially vaxxed ruling was not in place! Legally(from what I've read) The organizers cannot keep the entrants money as the new rules were put in place AFTER the entrants had paid in full. The only risk of losing out on their entry fees were stated in the T&Cs.
