  1. Yeah roofing and air conditioning is very seasonal in Gauteng too.
  2. That is why guys like Jack Miller in MotoGP are such a breathe of fresh air. Even though he rides for the top factory team he will call a spade a spade. Not PR BS, just says it as it is. Love it!!
  3. Does the weight not concern you, especially at the longer lengths? When I saw it the first time you posted I thought that it looks like it will be difficult to control beyond 500mm. Both ends need to move at the same speed, if one end "digs" in or slows down your straight line disappears quickly. That is obviously without holding or seeing it personally.
  4. Lord No-name Pepper steak pie of Woolies........
  5. How, by not putting it into a box.......
  6. Thats why in the 2 stroke community we always say to factor in a rebuild in the purchase price. Not expected on a 4 stroke but those single cylinder, high performance engines have tight tolerances. At least then you will know that you have many happy miles ahead of you. Selling it on will really bug you, especially if your morals are high.
  7. I heard, not sure of how factual it is, that is cost between R40-60mil to get the Binder brothers to where they are now. Seems crazy but then again once you get to the GP grid, the first rides are usually bought, in euros.
  8. Sounds like a typical German solution to a problem that did not exist!!!!
  9. Jip, 8 Dukes on the grid next year. Very disappointing. As far as Rossi racing, can't see the Ducati improving his fortunes. Nothing wrong with the Yamaha. Quarterpounder leading the championship. Vinales has won, and topped FP1 today too. It is not the bike.......
  10. Ready to be loaded with the other scrap metal??
  11. Some sort of tax break in leasing, over ownership I would imagine.
  12. With the C5, Lewis will start complaining from his private jet seat already.......
  13. Jip, and then you start getting special tyres for certain teams while other teams "on the same tyres" suffer. It is a slippery slope. TBF, F1's problem is not tyres, its the rules. Hoping the 2022 changes fix most of them but lets see......
  14. I agree but you have to have some constants. Al the great race series at the moment (MotoGP, WSBK, MotoAmerica, Australian supercars) all have standard tyres. It makes for better racing and drives competition, and development. When Ducati in MotoGP were caught out they had to develop the bike to suit. Now they have a killer bike, for example.
  15. Completely different as the cars manufacturers do not make tyres. Tyre's are the consumable here, should be made to an acceptable standard
  16. I am very much for a spec tyre/ECU, etc. It works well in other series, Pirelli just needs to up their game in F1.
  17. From the side by side comparison shots I have seen the wheelbase is significantly shorter, hence my thinking this would make it nimbler. Weight increase is marginal, and the will keep the COG low so it could be a benefit creating more mechanical grip........
  18. Liking the look of the new 2022 cars, a lot smaller and hopefully more nimble. If they could be less reliant on airflow that would help the racing too.
  19. Nobody said he should retire mid season. He can continue to "race", wave at the camera's and then he can retire at the end of the year????. Seems Petronas have officially said their goal is to secure young talent and that they will not renew. Would imagine there is a performance clause in the contract anyway. Glad to see Bastianini has landed on a bike at least with Gresini, and on a Ducati.
  20. Think he was referring to missing the Spain race but not making that mistake again by missing the French race.
  21. This thread has really gone to the Hogs lately.......
  22. Was, he is all for rider development then he should move aside and not hog a competitive bike. More so when his protégé Franco could do wonders with it......
  23. Hasn't the "father" already received a R1mil donation from a philanthropist though??
  24. Can you resend, or post, a link please Chris?
  25. Not a keyless chuck fan.
