  1. no suipen so that wont help? wheel and disk running true just the casette is moving wheel i spin the back wheel freely??
  2. please someone pick up their rearwheel , spin it and tell me if your casette sways/moves slighty or doesnt??
  3. please help, just got my new set of xt wheels and when i spun the back wheel the casette swayed/moved ? spoke to my lbs and he says its normal something to do with the free hub? surely a R4000.00 wheelset shouldnt have any movement on the casette? any other hubber out there experienced the same??
  4. thanks mp, riding ralphs 2.25 so going to 2.1 wont cause any problems just dont want to get them and find they are to narrow for our general riding??
  5. This is for the "MTB WHizz Kids"? What is the ideal/correct tires widths one would ride or is this just rider preference? I ride xt rims with Racing ralphs (2.25)(non ust) on at the moment but i'm not happy with how they shed mud? just seen a special at CWC on nobby nics 2.1ust's and want to may be give them a try but cwc only have 2.1 and thus my confusion?? i believe nobby nics are a great all round "worker" and at that price for ust's i might a well by 2 sets? thanks goose
  6. good one, got me!!
  7. hey bb, that probably the dirtiest the bike has got in its life.......... looks great mate and i'm glad its gone to a "good home" enjoy and i hope you get many happy kms/hrs from "my old tribal beauty" ps thanks for the pm and thanks for a good deal!! cheers goose1
  8. just got my bike from a service yesterday and saw my lbs used the new 7900 with the "quick link" are these new chains trouble free and easy to take off when i want to clean or do i just leave it on until the next change?? thanks
  9. bought and sold plenty, not planning to list how much cos i might scare myself. to date never had a bad one and if i wasnt happy the hubbers have always been happy to refund. well done to all of you for making this an awesome site!
  10. a truelly sad loss to S.A. cycling ! R.I.P and may the wind always be now at your back.......................
  11. as i said earlier the "lead dispenser" was all locked up however a flattie with lots of adrenalin behind it ,worked just fine and i'm not now in serious *** with the law thank goodness??
  12. "skietpiet", please Honor us with your version of how i should have handled the situation?? maybe something along the lines of " be a good chap there young fellow and get off my bike will you?" and as he passes me " come on there my young man i have asked you politely" and then as my bike disappears in the night" ok then keep the bike my good boy, telli ho"
  13. for a moment there i thought my mother had been on the hub cos thats what she said.......... 8ft perimeter brick wall , 5 strands of electric fence above, how he got in and out still has me beaten??? but i will give myself 3 lashes with a wet tacky for thinking my bike might be safe outside the kitchen door, left there cos i had just washed it and it wasnt totally dry yet GOOSE12009-09-04 01:35:35
  14. absolutely , but bear in mind in the good old days you were hung for stealen another mans "steed" never though for stealen his wife? how times have changed???????
  15. your so right "g", the wife wasn't to happy to at all and wanted me to wait for armed response but by then my"steed" would be in some location by now or sold for a miserable amount compared to real value?? i suppose had they stole the wife i would have waited a little longer....
  16. cos like most "lead throwers" in S.A. it was also sleeping all loocked up. as for the fence , dont know how but had the fence man there already an lifting it up a few more strands??? crime affecting my cash flow again?? no more hub sales for a while
  17. finding it funny today but i know how very luck i was!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. the dismount was good, but i have never seen a person start running in mid flight cos when i looked again my bike was there and no rider???? however the other warning i forgot to post was never grab an electric fence thinking its not working, cos in my now 'bullet proof" state i bare handed tested my fence trying to ascertain how the"f....er" could have beaten my security system and i cost me an hour extra before i could close my eyes again??
  19. last night at 02H45 a "fellow south african" decided to climb over my wall with an electric fence and "borrow" my mtb. however after the dogs alerted me to his presence i managed to awaken myself and chase the "f....er"screaming down the quiet neighborhood road that i was going to place a piece of "lead" somewhere in his body! However in true south african spirit and sitting on my lovely mtb the "f....er" carried on ,unperturbed about my presence, an his possible departure to "greener pastures". however, to his demise i had left the bike in "granny gear" and the faster he peddled the faster i ran. upon catching up with th new "affirmative rider" my right hand helped him perform a spectacular dismount and he ran off screaming into the night" it wasn't me boss, it wasn't me boss". so when leaving your mtb unattended always leave it in the "granny gear" cos you never know when you might have to chase your own bike down?? 22. tried the gobi on 3 rides now and just cant get to like it?? feels like a long "wedgie "????????
  23. the rails were also my concern, its just that i've got one doing nothing in my cupboard. the selle website does say that the saddle can be used off road???? just got a gobi and dont like it at t all???
  24. hi , riding the above saddle on my road bike and want to get one for my mtb, just not sure if it can take the punishment?? anyone else riding one on their H.T.??? cheers
  25. agree with jagwil on this one as i have one too. its awesone, lightweight, battery lasts forever and most of all it lights up a long way ahead and thats a big safety plus going into the darker months. they arent the cheapest but for me the best light i have ever owned...
