ride everyday anyway...............

always sad news when one of "our hub family" gets "the call" as a parent my thoughts and prays are with the family and kids.... R.I.P mate and may they wind now always be at your back.

on the golf course one never utters the word" shank" so yes i will have to agree avatar , those of us that have looked at the post and commented are doomed...........

i have ridden vredesteins fortezza tricomps for three seasons now and no puntures ( +- 12000kms) i got my new ride , fitted ultremos r1 's and you guessed it !! Sat. morning with 2 kms to go and only 100kms .......phsssssssssss:angry: :angry: so my lbs got the call this morning and hopefully the tricomps will be here before the weekend??? in all fairness to schwalbe the tyres are built for racing, are extremely lightweight 180g and dont stand a chance on our glass covered roads.

thanks will definately give it a ride as my legs need a burn............ following week is cator cruise and my "winter body" just aint in racing condition yet..............

some guys are just lucky they can eat and drink what they want and their weight stays constant others like myself have to watch and ride plenty. one thing i do know is the older one gets the harder it is to keep those un wanted kilos away. cornflakes skim milk @ 06h30 fruit @ 10ish tuna sandwich & fruit @ 1200 fruit @ 15h00 peanuts, beer @ 18h00 ( the reason i ride is so that i can drink beer) lots of water all day.........

got my first road bike in 1982 , a beautiful read and blue Road master - 10speed. the only problem was that the redline BMX was the machine of "the manne" so i decided to jump my roadmaster at the local track ....... during a moment of madness i was dared to take part in the "long jump" comp of the day . round and round i went until i became air bourne, looking down i passed the longest jump line but the frame and my body didnt make the landing: fork broke , wheels buckled and rear derailer decided that the rear wheel was the place to hide. with a broken bike, broken arm and sore body i cried my way home only to get " bliksemed" by my dear dad. had to walk to school for the whole remainder of std 4 until "father christmas" bought me my redline........

hi, building my new frame and now my 31.6mm seatpost doesnt fit??? all the owners manuals state 31.6 as being correct but my lbs says its a 30.9?? can an existing owner please measure and let me know what currently is on your super six as i want to order a new seatpost but just not convinced that 30.9 is the correct size???? PLEASE HELP............. cheers

i ride everyday and have been for the last 18mths. fortunately i'm only 4kms from work and mostly downhill so mornings i get no real excersise but alwayd try ride for a 40 - 60 mins detour on the way home. it helped my legs through winter last year and hopefully it will do the same this winter too. i ride mtb cos its heavier and i feel i get a better workout. good luck

with my purchase last week have bought for more than 80k since joining and sold to many great hubbers!!!! to date i havent had one deal go sour, had a few promises that havent materialised but in all a great forum to "fix" a bad habbit........ to those that i have had dealings with many thanks..........

i have spent a bit! however a number i would never post cos i would rather not have to declare to my wife the truth of my adiction???? i think taking crack daily would be cheaper..........

the retail game , with todays climate is really tough! as a business owner you can either cry because the customers arent coming through your doors or you take the doors to your customer! competion is great for business and everyone benefits! if the local lbs are strugelling then they only have themselves to blame! it certainly isnt because of online trading or buying from cwc, i would love to know how the hub has hurt the whole of the SA market! i for one have bought 4 bikes, bought and sold lots of spares over the past couple of years only because there now is another market to tap into! so to the the strugglers ! go to work tomorrow and ask yourself or your bosses "how are we going to get the doors to our customers" GOOSE12010-05-20 09:31:39
