  1. A few guys, I think 5 in total, went down in our group this morning on the Lido back straight, 28 April, JHB south. Stopped and helped the guys to the side, picked up bikes etc... But had to leave before help arrived. Anyone know if all were ok?
  2. Thanks @Tumbleweed My normal route too. RIP
  3. Anyone know more about this? Who involved? http://www.timeslive.co.za/local/2012/04/18/cyclist-killed-in-alberton-road-rage-incident So sad!
  4. There are signs. And on weekend mornings there is Helivac (Shaun), and a vehicle sponsored by Lexus that drive support, with a paramedic. I think we need to support these initiatives. Incidents like this remind one of the value they are adding.
  5. I am guessing from the interest that no-one really wants the support vehicles?
  6. Has been a bit Slave, you still shuffling kit? Keen for the 5th, and keen for a double. Missing the Argus as well, and thought maybe that would be a good day for a double as well, pain in sympathy with those in CT.... I hope it blows!!!! Indigo - No triples! BTW... check this out... if we support, maybe it will continue... https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/97423-safe-cycling-lexus-helivac-jhb-south/
  7. Just a thank you to Lexus and Helivac for an outstanding initiative. Lexus The Glen is sponsoring an RX350 vehicle, and Helivac provides a paramedic, and they drive support every weekend in JHB South for the 7:00 groups. It has now been a few weeks, and I for one feel so much safer on the bike. Traffic now respects us, and if there is a fall, instant paramedic! Thanks Warren Swartz (Lexus) and Shaun Hannie (Helivac)!
  8. Anyone keen for a reserve tomorrow afternoon? Suiker?
  9. So sorry to hear that. Condolensces to the family.
  10. Anyone riding tomorrow morning before 7?
  11. Hope all are ok. Missed it as went at 6:00. Any further details?
  12. Just post bank details. I will make a donation for the cause!
  13. Glad to hear you are ok Lucky Lady, or at least healable injuries. Get well soon!! See you on the road again!
