  1. Only if the guy had a cheese burger with him would our cops run like that
  2. Im sure this jersey will sell fast. Despite what he did in my eyes he is still a legend. (And that's my opinion) Ill pay a full tank of petrol.
  3. Glad I decided not to do this, I had the same gripe with the marshals on the journey for sight. Not paying attention at the traffic light 5m from the finish I was told to turn left. I never question the marshals, but its about time they stop realizing its not a social event to catch up! peoples lives are in there hands. When I took this up with PPA I was told "its a pity" and that nothing could be done. I was told to express with my concern with some other person (cant remember). can go back on email if I need. Still upset about it losing 10min on your time due to a marshal not paying attention.
  4. I bought a silverback strela concept. Full carbon? 105 components. I think I paid 12k new. Shop around I believe you can get better value for your money.

    Going tubeless

Thanks guys there seems to be more to this tubeless thing.
  9. Hi Guys Looking for some advice. Im looking at a set of tubeless wheels, but am not sure do you need to have tubeless tyres or can you use standard tyres? This is for a road bike Thank you
  10. I also went down the road of HRM, haven't used it this season. Your body will tell you when you at your limit. I found I was to worried about it on rides. My opinion don't waste your cash.
  11. Hi Jaco Welcome. Just remember cycling never gets any easier. You just get faster. Good luck and keep going, your fitness will improve.
  12. Hi im keen, live in Blouberg. What ave speed and distance are you looking at?

  14. I almost bought a set of zipps from him. He wanted 4k for them, I checked the shop. 30k for the same set, when its to good to be true, normally somethings up. Go with ur gut feeling.
  15. I agree the wheels are not the top of the range carbon wheel. But value for money they not bad. I like the wheels they roll well, and I seem to climb better on them. But seem to get blown around quiet badly on them. I'd recommend the 38mm wheels. A guy I cycle with has a set of the american classics 58mm area they wider to give a try, I know they a little deep but not sure about the width?
  16. Thanks for the advice guys, I'm 163cm and have never battled with my setup feel great on my bike almost like I could ride a DC every time on it. Ill put the wheels back on and just try a few different riding positions and see what's feels best.
  17. Thanks for the help, ill ride them a little longer and see how it goes. Also think ill wait till after the windy season to make a decision. Let's just hope we have a wind free argus. (LOL)
  18. I've been riding my standard wheels on very windy days, not sure who went out on boxing day. But even that amount of wind freaked me out on descends.
  19. Ok seems like I need to just loosen up abit, can anyone recommend any links or good articles on how to ride deep section effectively? The more I understand about them, maybe ill be feel more relaxed on them.
  20. Think it could be nerves, I normally try fight the wind on the wheels. I just can't get comfy, if I leave it and relax. Can the wind blow me off my bike? I don't enjoy the feeling of not being in control.
  21. I'm 87kg so not to light but not to heavy. Bike is 8,5kg
  22. Hi Guys Looking for abit of advice, very unsure what to do. I recently bought a set of 50mm dark horse wheels. I enjoy riding them. However if there is even a slight breeze, I'm on my breaks and lose so much time. I just can't get comfortable ridding them. Any suggestions? I'm considering selling them, based on time I'm losing in races. Thanks
  23. Hey Feetup He enjoyed the ride so much he cycled there for coffee this morning. Lol
  24. Just go for a ride tell ur wife it must be off by the time you get home. Bwahahahahhaha problem solved.
  25. I love my compact crank, i think its great for beginners. But as your legs develop i don't think it really matter what you ride. I swopped bikes (just for a ride) with a mate he rides standard and battles to ride it, i could feel no difference between the bikes now. He absolutely loved the compact, infact said im cheating on climbs. He is currently buying a compact crank.
