I hear what you are saying bout the weather but it looks like things are going to stay cold or get slightly warmer that what they are at the moment. Attached are two satellite images from the SA Weather service.

Here I was going to go for a nice gentle ride out on the spruit and it decides to ruddy well snow and make everything blooming cold. Will have to go out tomorrow then. Thursday is definitely going to be a ride to experiance :clap: :clap:

Well there is one thing I have noticed in the last 8-10 months is that no matter what is happening I always make the effort to get out and do what I enjoy doing.

That is exactly what I was thInking. If after the 40 km's I want to bow out I will have the option. But will see how I feel on thursday. But for me it is very much a mind over matter issue for me. I have got very comfortable doing 30kms so I just need to look at extending the route and start doing longer distance.

Most I have ever done is 32 km and on the day of this event I plan on doing 80km . Bomb shell of note

I often ride the spruit from emmarentia through to republic road around mid morning sometimes mid afternoon and have never felt threatened. I have heard a couple guys in the reads along the spruit a couple of times but again never felt threatened. Maybe I am just being totally naive

I am soooo tempted to do the 40km race. Any suggestions about training for it?

The first time I went to northern farm I really enjoyed it. I must go there again sOmetime. Possibly even on Sunday =)

From the website / Entry form I can only see opportunity for teams to enter so I take it one cannot enter as an individual?

Is there a kit that one can get for this race as well as on the website there is an option to view the kit so just a tad confused =

After having completed the Parys Dirt max 30km race on saturday I am looking forward to doing the Walkerville classic this coming Sunday

Hi all I completed the 30km race on Saturday and I really enjoyed myself (even though at one point I did want to just quit on the race). The main thing though is that I pushed through and completed it which is what I am pleased about
