  1. ...I'm no expert (have never done it) but logic says that tygerVALLEY is probably surrounded by....Mountains. Perhaps populated by TYGERS. Possibly take along a big stick to keep them at bay. Either way, get ready for the ride of your life! Happy pedalling!
  2. Hee hee! We can use the 2 newly-discovered leaks to keep the torch cool!! Seriously though, looks like we're off to our LBS for a diagnosis- no more DIY on stuff we're not sure about for the time being!
  3. Its a Truvativ X-flow. Came with the bike. Oh, did I mention the beeeg crash in Dec? Could that be the culprit?
  4. Himself thinks it might be a bigger problem than just the chainring- maybe the whole bb/crankset- as all 3 chainrings wobble when pedalled.
  5. I dunno how, but I've managed to bend my chainring. Can it be "unbent?" If yes, how??
  6. DECENT WSD kit, how about regular updates on women-specific developments in the sport- equipment, clothing, nutrition etc. Coz I'm a beginner, I feel intimidate to ride in a big group, so how about offering smaller (or one-on-one like a personal trainer) sessions for ladies? Someone to show you the ropes and not laugh at you coz you dont have TONS of technical knowledge. my 2c
  7. Have to agree with Di on this one- change the collar colour, otherwise, I reckon it looks good
  8. I think that what people are saying is that they dont have a problem with the feedback, but with the forum used to give that feedback.
  9. Another shining example of customer (dis)service!
  10. So how are you supposed to prove that your chip is mounted on the bracket-or do they send the Chip Bracket Police to check the forensic evidence??
  11. Your suggestion makes sense to me!

    Ouch

Yoh! Eish, sori Ask if you can arrange a payment plan and pay this off in installments Just think- you could've spent that on cycling goodies instead of handing to over to the traffis
  13. Your place? Be there 7am. Bring coffee!
  14. Hey, thanks for that. What time we meeting up? I was hoping to hit the spruit at 7 for an hour or so then meet up DiCPD, We meeting on the Spruit or our place?
  15. Valid points, thanks for the advice. But there are also plenty of examples of people who take precautions like the ones you suggest and still get burnt because despite their precautions the seller is shady and either misrepresents the items being sold or simply doesnt refund or respond after they receive the cash- besides, who wants the schlep of having to chase shady sellers, its a waste of precious cycling (or in my case, wobbling along ) time!
  16. I've read too many threads with unhappy/disappointed purchases. Despite using the Hub as a great source of info, I'm not sure I'll purchase any items here because there appear (IMHO) to be too many sales that have turned sour. Besides, with my limited technical knowledge I admit that it's too easy for some shady individual to pull the wool over my eyes- not taking that chance.
  17. Aaron At Cyclefit... Hubbie had issues with setup, had been to a few places that did not do a very good job. Aaron sorted all the issues out. He rode epic with absolutely no setup issues.
  18. Those course pics look hectic! Nice looking bike
  19. We do the Milton vibe on our bottles and camelbaks- no issues yet. I find the Milton tablets are easier to use than the bottle of Milton that you need to measure etc. Try soaking the tube in Milton overnight- might also help
  20. plus the add-ons like wrenches, photos, rubs etc.
  21. Thanks DD I checked out their site, but didnt spot any. Will mail them.
  22. Ola All Anyone know where I can find pics of the Epic-not the pros, the other okes? Have looked on their site and the Sportzpics site but not having any success.
