  1. I tend to agree, I have always worked on the 5 year rule (but never had a set of tyres come close to that old). Tyres degrade with age so I am certain you will feel the difference and be much better off on a fresh set of rubber
  2. Cool, I am out of town the next two weeks but will swing by towards the end of the month
  3. This could be an interesting option, never seen one in the flesh. Can't beat the sound on a Ducati
  4. Yes, always a draw back. I am in Sandton, so not far from that dealership. Also had an Aprilia with a total of zero dealerships, so know the challenges of more niche brands Have read some reports saying the Africa Twin is a bit tame and can be a boring ride. Guess only a test ride will prove if thats true
  5. No haven't looked at F900GS, will check it out. The draw for the triumph is the triple motor, like something with a bit of character
  6. I am in the market for an Adventure bike, looking at the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro and Honda Africa Twin 1100. Does anyone have an input/ pros or cons on the above or any other options to add into the mix. Wanting the bike to do a few weekend trips along the roads less travelled like ET, Lesotho etc
  7. Can anyone recommend a good running club close to Lonehill in Jhb? I used to run a fair bit, but mostly because triathlon forced me to. Got an itch to run again and think joining a club might be the nudge that I need to get going and stay consistent
  8. Where can I get a torque wrenche calibrated in JHB?
  9. I am starting to look around for an adventure bike for the occasional longer trip, weekend ride to Harties and general around town use. Been looking at used KTM 1090/Triumph Tiger 1200/GS 1200/Super Tenere, does anyone have input of benefits/drawback other suggestions? I am only 5.8" so been able to touch the ground is an important consideration
  10. That's a very cool idea, I have been spending far too many hours googling what is possible and it seems with the right amount of attention to detail on the CAD design and staying within the machines dimensions there are endless things that can be created
  11. Thanks, I am planning to do 3D contours to create inlays for boxes (names, shapes etc) I have started doing some research and hope to run some basic 2d patterns this weekend all being well, will definitely pop in here with some feedback on learnings as I go down the rabbit hole
  12. Does anyone have any experience with a Zenbot Router cnc? I have recently inherited a full workshop and this was one of the newer tools my dad got and I never learnt how to use it. It runs on Mach3 and V-Carve Pro software, lots of material online but hope someone has any useful tips before I go too far down a rabbit hole
  13. No worries, look forward to seeing the pics
  14. Any luck finding the plane? Would be interested to see what we can work out
  15. Perfect, thanks
