One of the girls I work with is married to a drug addict, he is usually fine but something will trigger it and he will disappear for an entire weekend... Would the woman rather have someone like that?

I am also one of the lucky ones I play touch rugby twice a week in the evenings and I also play golf on a Saturday/Sunday Morning. My girlfriend (we are getting married in Feb) doesn't complain about it at all and if she wants us to do something over the weekend she lets me know well in advance. We both believe that you should have your own interests and that you need to spend time on your own. We don't have kids yet, so it makes it easier. Dont know whats going to happen when i start cycling but I am sure we will be able to work it out. Friend of mine who used to do everything (tennis, touch rugby, judo and cycling) stopped it all when he got married and had kids...divorced after 7 years.

Exactly! I have always been a cycling fan but never really thought of riding myself. Also been working on Saturdays for the last 4 years so between golf and family etc I haven't had the time. I have but I haven't really seen anything that I like or that fits within my budget. Not a big fan of buying second hand, but I wont say no to a good deal
