  8. Hell yes! That's a good idea. Do go pro and stage profiles for each stage! That would work! Sent out max 1 week before the race. So that the locals don't have forever to practice the stages Dirtopia is all.blind. With locals having the upper hand. It's still a lot of fun doing it blind!

  14. hey wes, that's the beauty of running a 6 race Series!! you can only have a slight avantage at 1 or two races not at all 6! so everyone will have their strength at their local spot but have to ride slower at the unknown tracks it would suck as a once off ! but I think that's why there are a lot of series races happening from usa to Italy to uk to france. it levels the field a lot more! what do you think?
  15. and EVERYONE should be riding the trails BLIND!!! no more practise!! the next ews race has 1 practice run for each rider, no more!!!! damn we need a Series!!! I want to talk to meurant to create a AME WP Series for next year (allmountain enduro western province series) 6 races from march-December main event on 17 December at dirtopia festival!! I think it should be like this Witfontein-saasvel (George) Delvera Welvanpas Jonkershoek tokai genadendal - year end festival who would be in to ride a series like this?
  16. i personally think the spirit of enduro is to ride up and race down, I would say no to shuttles as it would even the playing field between guys who train endurance and guys who train more intervals (short bursts) you can see what it did at the first EWS stage in punta ala , if you look carefully youll see some riders did really well in 1 and 2 but funked out in 3 and 4 which shows that they got tired towards the end and guys like Dan Atherton only really got going on the last stage because he conserved too much energy. but in saying that the next race will make use of chair lifts ! and the one after that not and so on so on .... if youre running a series then I think you could do one or two race with shuttles and the rest without ... also I think it will make a difference depending on how many stages you have per day .... if its 6 stages then 1-2 shuttles would be okay... but if its 4-5 then naaaaa (just my opinion)

  21. hey guys, i was at the dirtopia enduro, it was awesome !! the only issues really involved in such an event are the stages, you need to time from start to finish of every stage. getting ama rider involved will actually be quite crucial (but doubt he has time and what premium will he ask for the tag system?) and lets say the event isnt in cpt then what do you do? go all old school and put kids with stop watches and every start and finish and what if they screw things up? and who wants to edit and add every entry, and what if it is a one day event and you still have to give prize giving but you are still busy editing all the results two hours after everyone is done? i have an enduro in mind here by me which would be a one day 5-6stage 40km event, what are your guys views of overcoming the numerous obstacles in hosting such an event?
  22. it was amazing!! seriously amazing stages (trails) and the concept created a really cool atmosphere with being able to talk to different people and all share our love for the 'true' mtb experience! ill post when the pics are uploaded by the different photographers oh ja!! it was won by Gert Heyns (ON A XC HARDTALE!!!!!) much respect for the kid, he has some serious talent!!
