Not sure of the year but it was the Cannodale Vredenstein team, after numerous punctures they ran out of everything tyre related and opted to finish the stage like that to preserve their lead - they went on to get the overall win that year so it was a good call. Mavic had that wheel on display overseas to show how strong their wheels are - it did not collapse or anything, just had no side edges left.

You must know how I feel, I was there. One interesting thing was though, Frans Steyn kicked one of his monster penalties right in front of us - flipping hell, sounded it was like a cannon going off he kicks it so hard. but still did not help, plus I was surrounded by Bulls supporters who made sure I knew what the score was.

Every season the Sharks have lost a whole bunch of games before finally getting going and they always ended up making it to at least the last four - with the exception of last year - 22 injured players. Yes this year they have won the first two but its a long, long season and anything can and will happen so I would not be too worried about the Stormers yet. Most of the teams are just finding their feet at the moment.
