  1. Make sure the pressure supports your weight (as others have said). I've had the unfortunate incident of forgetting to pump my tires up properly. I watched my front tire roll off the rim. Was not fun

  7. wrong quote
  8. Johan (and anyone else) Sorry for all the questions, but can i ask your opinions on the mavic crossmax slr vs st for 100kg rider? Thanks
  9. I think that because, as you mentioned, that you still do quite a lot of walking, the plastic-soled shoes will be more comfortable (slightly more flexible) than carbon. Obviously you lose some power transfer, but Specialized has done well to minimize the losses with its plastic soles.
  10. Swatch Irony (more formal watch) Garmin Forerunner 110 (everyday watch)
  11. thanks
  12. i won't import them. I would get them through the CWC special
  13. Baie Dankie
  14. specialized makes very good plastic soled shoes, they are very stiff, not as stiff as the carbon ones. Look at their mtb Sport shoe. I'm very happy with the sports
  15. Thanks a lot. now need to speak to the parents...
  16. so they will be fine for 100kg with kit?
  17. How strong are they?
  18. Hi Hubbers I've been looking at the Wheel specials CWC is putting up and I am tempted. I've still got a 26er hardtail, so looking at the EA70 xc vs EA 90 xc. I'm concerned that, with 24 spokes, these wheels won't be strong enough for me (roughly 95 kg)? Any advice? Thanks
  19. We can't let these guys win. If we stop riding then they will get more aggressive to those who continue. But if we expand our numbers and ride in groups they may think twice about attacking us.
  20. In 2011 I was almost attacked in that same area. 2 guys 100 metres behind me got chased but they escaped. The guy at the back saw the robbers coming. Scary thing was that barely 2 minutes afterwards 2 UCT girls ran past. Could so easily have been them.
  21. BUt to me that looks like it is wire tying the dog to the bakkie and not a standard leash.
  22. I have been using my father's scott road saddle on my hard tail for about a year. Haven't had problems yet. It is quite hard though but I enjoy it.
  23. I've had the Specialized Mtb Sport for roughly three years. Much more comfortable than my original Olympics. They have been through quite a lot of water and the three velcro straps are still fine. But it still comes down to which fit you the best.
  24. *best value for money
  25. I know Formula are very good breaks. But which would be the best value of those brakes tested?
