  1. Another vote for Ruan @ Spokeworks in Pta.
  2. Hubbers, Quick question. What is the difference between an E-Type and E2-Type Shimano front derailer?
  3. I had the same issue a couple of years ago. Excruciating pain in my left Achilles tendon. I was to scared for the surgery and orthopedic surgeon option . To cut a long and painful story short, I went for Prolotherapy. (http://www.prolotherapy.co.za/). Dr. Bell and his associate in Parys, FS are the specialists in SA. After about 8 weeks of therapy on my Achilles as good as new....maybe stronger than before. I would highly recommend this therapy. It sorted me out.
  4. Thanks for the replies. @fanievb, what kind of patch did you use?
  5. Hubbers, Took a "little" jump over the weekend, and came down on rocks. So, after another 3km's I realized that the rear wheel has gone flat. After inspection saw a little pinch bite (2mm) on the side wall of the tyre, just above the rim leaking sealant. After 3 bombs manage to get to my car, luckily it happened close to the end of training. My sealant didn't manage to seal the cut. And yes, it was "fresh" sealant (about 2 months old). I don't want to name and blame the sealant at this stage, but it's a local SA product (Not Stan's or Joe's). Is it possible to patch the cut on the inside of the tyre wall? Cut is small, about 2mm and tyre still new. What kind of patch do you use?
  6. Janos & Naas are great guys to deal with! Highly knowledgeable.
  7. @koukie I can't manage to post the video. Just follow the link: instagram.com/p/nXHxNhiVSL/
  8. Can't manage to post the link.... Edit... Link fixed!
  9. Hubbers, Saw this on Facebook. Looks like Victor has an ace up his sleeve for 2015! instagram.com/p/nXHxNhiVSL/ I can't wait!
  10. TX for all the comments. I'll buy a new caliper, and try to "refurbish" the old/broken one for a spare. I see you can get the caliper alone for about R700.
  11. Ok, so bottom line is that the caliper can't be rebuild. So into the dustbin....?
  12. Hubbers, I need some advise. Been running XT BR-M785 disc brakes. After a hectic ride yesterday front brake failed. After close inspection saw that mineral oil is leaking from the ceramic pistons on the side. So yes, new bleed, pads, etc. Now, can you service a caliper (new seals, etc.)? Or is it the end of the road for the caliper?
  13. 1. Enjoy the race. 2. Finish the race. 3. Don't start to fast! 4. Enjoy the race!
  14. This is one fine looking bike!
  15. TX for the comments Eldron.
  16. TX Eldron. Sounds simple enough. So if I do the opposite as per numerous YouTube videos (Press oil via syringe through caliper bleed port to lever reservoir) (basically bottom to top), will I damage my brakes?
  17. Thanks for all the comments. Highly appreciated.
  18. Yes Spoke! That is the kit!
  19. Hubbers, Where can I buy a Shimano Bleed Kit (M575) in SA to bleed my disc brakes? It's one of those yellow funnels that you screw into the brake lever as per all the YouTube video's. I've searched all the popular online stores in SA.....nothing. Or any "home made" alternatives that work?
  20. Hi Crow, Excuse my ignorance, but why would a wider rim be "better"?
  21. ARDENT RACE front & back!
  22. Ha Ha Ha..... http://www.explicittradings.com/#!product/prd1/1935762975/xtc-composite-29er 2014 Giant XTC Composite 29er for R 9500.00! Brand new? Maybe it's also a "GREY" Import!
  23. @Steven K, Not replacing. I'm currently on a Spark 940.... and missed my hard tail so much..... so decided to build one again.
  24. New wheel-set & rubber! Can't wait to test drive....
