  1. I am curious, is the rule about sprinting in a straight line only a thing in Europe or in SA as well?
  2. I have a spare triple ring truvativ crankset set for a tandem (pilot and stoker which came off a Raleigh T6000. Think I also have the BB's but not sure if they will fit your frame?) and a set of Mavic tandem wheels (Shimano 40 Hole hubs) that I am prepared to sell. R 3000 for both. If interested pm me? I am in CT.
  3. Thanks Dipstick. (Hopefully I can avoid getting myself banned for one more day?) Matt, you are welcome to remove. Kudo's for taking the complaint seriously. Post was made in good faith and to complement you on your prompt action.
  4. Ha ha ha, you have got to be joking! Do I need to read thehubsa's T&Cs too!!!
  5. Hi Hubbers, There seems to be a lot of negativity and aggression posted here on a daily basis these days. Some in jest and some not. As a long term hubber I sometimes miss the early days when it was easier to identify between the 2. Although my intention was innocent, I did not cross my T's and dot my I's before placing an ad requesting to trade older training videos for something newer and refreshing. In doing so I crossed a grey line. I would like to apologies to all for the extra admin caused in having to address this carelessness. That being said: Please feel free to use this as a small nudge to whoever feels they may have also crossed a grey line somewhere and set it straight. Wishing everyone a great weekend ahead. KM
  6. Hey Guys, 1st off, we are all very proud to be Saffers and to see fellow Saffers doing well overseas and flying our flag high. (Shortly put - WELL DONE DARRYL.) BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, is it really fair to hijack all the MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung's posts / articles because Darryl doesn't have a good publicist posting his awesome achievements on the SA forums??? Again - WELL DONE DARRYL!!! AND... WELL DONE "MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung" on your results thus far and on your PR department. Example: I know all of the MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung results thanks to their press releases and only one of Darryl's results (the irony being that is also thanks to the MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung press releases.) Just a thought to ponder.
  7. Ha ha ha, Nice reply and valid post! And I for one do not disagree with you. I would hate to be dragged to court for a libel or slander over what is a recreational sport for 99% of all participants. The fact that I was alluding to was that unless the "guilty party" is already swinging from the gallows, uncomfortable posts are overlooked and ignored by all. As also noted by many on the forum, the "pros" local and national will avoid these topics like the plague. Tylor Hamilton's book says it all, speak no evil, hear no evil. That is the entrance fee that you pay to be part of the fraternity. (And you pay a different kind of fee to keep pace with that fraternity)
  8. May I just point out a very ironic fact: All the “experts” on thehub sit around criticizing DG for the use of EPO AND his opponents for not “ratting him out” as it appears everyone “in the know” knew that this was happening. Then in the same thread, the same “experts” completely overlook and ignore posts made by well known and accomplished WC cyclists who highlight the same transgressions being made by local riders. Manic Cycles Yesterday, 16:47 Point is the sport needs to be cleaned up. And they need not stop at testing elite riders. They need to target the Sub vet, Vet & Masters categories as well!! These guys have the money to "afford" performance-enhancing drugs and more chance to "hide" it.. Icycling Posted Yesterday, 18:12 I got this a while back from a fellow Hubber: Haematocrit when from0.4 to 0.48 after 2 months of been in tent!!! So is it ethical? I must really applauded everyone’s holier than thou attitude while still sitting around with your heads buried in the sand. No one protests for action from CSA, No one protests for the culprits to be named and shamed, No one calls for Truth and Reconciliation to move towards a drug free sport, if fact no one even comments on these posts! I guess doping is everyone else’s problem to resolve and yours to comment on after the fact. Remember your future is what you make of it!
  9. Hey Guys, I am looking for some info please. Who can I contact to arrange to test ride and possibly buy 2 x Monsen AL529 in Cape Town? Anyone who knows where I can get a below RRP deal on this bike or similar, please pm me the details. Thanking you in advance. KM
  10. Eeerm, seriously, doesn't anyone know??? Guess that the aliens must have gotten him then!
  11. Hey all, I stopped at C-Lab Northgate on Saturday only to find that Lourens isn't running the workshop anymore??? Can someone please tell me where he is working now? Once you've found someone that gives you awesome service it is going to be a real pain trying to find someone else that I can trust with my bike. Thanks guys. KM
  12. No more maybe, I'll be there
  13. I may be interested, pm me when you have set a date.
  14. Sorry BMC, I'm also going to have to give this a miss. My tandem partners time is a little tight with the exams ahead.
