  1. I had to make the same decision a couple of days ago. So I went for Nobby Nic front and Racing Ralph back.Schwynn2009-10-13 07:29:04
  2. Wow, well done wiMPers. Schwynn2009-10-11 15:01:42
  3. So did I!!?
  4. Jinne ou Parra, hoe water my mond nou!!! Dis is 'n baie mooi fiets. Gaan jy Dirt Festival toe by NF? Sal graag jou fiets in lewende lywe wil sien!
  5. And here I am wondering why the FQ#*k I don't win. Never bought a ticket!!!
  6. You buy me a ticket as well, I don't have a snowball's hope!
  7. Kansas, if my GF bought me a set of wheels I'll marry her there and then,...the wife just mustn't find out!! I have been riding Easton ea 90's for 2 years now, 7000km on them and I weigh 90-95kg, not a single prob on them, never been straightened either.
  8. @ Shebeen - True, it would be better if stuff just worked without problems. Fact is, the users are not always clued up with the technology and therefore a lot of problems arise. I do agree that the 305 had a problem with power but as far as I can deduct that was sorted with a modification in later models. As far as the problem with my 705 goes, I needed electrode gel for proper contact with the skin. It is also comforting to know that if you run into a problem, the backup service is there, and it is something to rant and rave about!
  9. Although it is not quite the same it may help. http://www8.garmin.com/learningcenter/training/edge705/index.html
  10. It looks as if I have finally solved my long running frustration as far as heart rate monitors are concerned. Sometimes one must close your mouth and open your ears! After trying water, spit, Vaseline, body lotion and a host of other stuff on the electrodes without any success, I bought some ULTRASON scanning gel from Discem and viola! My problems are over. Applied some on the electrodes and I am back in business. Just comes to show, read the manual and listen to what the experts say.
  11. Will do, thanx mackiemoo. I already had a look, received an add from him. Color is just wrong. Oh, they do come in black as well. Mmm...Schwynn2009-09-29 12:24:40
  12. That is why strung that sentence together, lightest, strongest/stiffest, @ a good price.
  13. Blue is the favorite color here, but it is not going to work on my horse. My objective is to get the lightest, strongest wheel set for my weight, without selling my house.
  14. @ rad - Will they carry my frail little body! 95kg's?Schwynn2009-09-29 12:00:13
  15. I'm listening!!
  16. I deducted from all the reviews that Mavics are stiff and makes the bike handle better. My worries are about bearing going pop when you don't expect it, 100 miles from nowhere!
  17. @ HR - It feels like someone is tightening the brakes when I go up hills!! So I need all the help I can get spinning up those wheels. You should also know I am not exactly the lightest person out there and my current wheels are doing funny wobbly things when I brake!!Schwynn2009-09-29 11:44:28
  18. Does this come from Mavic?
  19. Hog, I am listening to everybody at the moment! I know nothing about these things, that's why I am interested in hearing everybody's views and experiences. See experience is knowledge!
  20. Thanx for the offer rad, but I still have to make up my mind. Will keep it in mind.
  21. I have been sitting behind this PC reading and looking at reviews on these wheels for a month now. It would be nice to have a set of these on my mtb but I am all cockeyed and more confused than before I started looking. It seems that the Mavic MTB hubs are not very tolerant of muddy conditions, however, some guys claim they're the bees nees!? It would be a shame to spend that amount of money and end up with wheels going in for repairs every month! So, what is it going to be? Mavic Crossmax, Easton XC one's, DT Swiss XR 1450's? If you own a set of any of these wheels, I would like to hear your 2c worth please. Mr Bornman, you can also say something if you wish. Schwynn2009-09-29 11:18:26
  22. Do they spray the logos on or is it vinyl with a bit of airbrushing?
  23. Very nice 101SCC!
