  1. Also, some 'mistakes' are career ending and rightly so, regardless of how much innocence or ignorance was involved, both in commerce and in sport.
  2. G'day Anyone found a good HRV app that is either compatible with their Fenix3, Garmin Connect or the HRM-Run strap (I though it was Bluetooth but haven't manged to find it on my phone with the apps I have tried for iOS - Elite HRV and HRV4Training) Looking for trending over time and training intensity recommendations given the stress levels. 7. Spec: SI Carbon 2 with Sram XX1 Size: Large Weight: 11.9kg with 3 cages and XTR pedals, tubeless Heavier than my Spark but feels at least 3kg lighter going up hills...
  8. I have about 5 plugs in my front tyre. As soon as they give up the ghost or wear out it's Conti protections for me. X-king front, Race King back.
  9. Question: my bike has just gone in for its first service. 1230km down. Was told they needed to replace the front wheel bearings, pivot and BB bearings. Is this normal? I've heard bearings can dry out while in shipment but this seems a little ridiculous. The bike itself is absolutely incredible, just hope all that awesomeness isn't coming the price of daintiness. Keen to hear the rest of your experiences.
  10. It's not the quickest at being updated. Still waiting for 947 MTB results to be uploaded from 2 weeks back...
  11. Evans was a 2 time MTB world cup winner. Retired and past their pro days - yes, but you can't doubt the pedigree of these guys. I definitely think they'll be contending the Masters
  12. Hincapie aside - which 'washed up' rugby players are you referring to? Surely not the retired, World Cup winning Springboks that pop to mind?
  13. It's a tool bottle - chain-break, plugs, multi-tool, tire levers

  17. Great articles, thanks. Biology lessons coming back to me here and all makes perfect sense. Just need to find space on the bike/jersey to add all the extra padkos
  18. Same thing happened to me. Sent multiple mails with no response until eventually the super helpful Wynand sorted me in no time - wynand@saseeding.co.za
  19. My second race, after VG marathon. Happy to learn not all MTB marathons are that tough. Slightly boring, winding course, but generally decent. Thanks. Started in C batch. Can't believe how many people in front had to walk the rocky climb, and chose to do so up the middle of the path. And thanks to the Exxaro rider for a little push towards the end. Seemed like he was having technical issues and had gas to spare. Legend.

  21. Shout out to the person who had the profile stickers made; you've kept me busy a while trying to get that bugger off my top tube! Otherwise, apart from nearly dying on the marathon with 3 weeks training, thoroughly enjoyed my first proper MTB race. Really liked the technical nature of the course. Looking forward to tackling it again next year with better prepared legs.
