  1. Oh definitely. Just using the file as a guide. And when to expect inclines declines etc. I don’t know the route in Durban. So this is the next best thing I could think of from Cape Town. Did the down run in 2016 and it still a bit of a blur to me. Out of interest sake. Any other Muslim runners here attempting this year. Interested to hear what training will be like during Ramadan.
  2. Thanks Pieter. Received. Now to hope I can follow that.
  3. Hi guys, Been following for while. Does anyone perhaps have a gpx file for the comrades up run or perhaps a link to strava or similar. Preferably for a sub 11 finish. Would like to study splits etc. Thanks
  4. No rush, apparently lots of people wont be entering ever again.
  5. For those guys planning a ride on Saturday, why not take a ride out to Wynberg and watch out future champions do their thing at the Junior tour. Not to sure if you'll be able to grab a beer or two there as I don't drink. But there will be a Spur tent. Enjoy the weekend guys. See you at the start line on Sunday.

  7. Looking for a group riding from Goodwood/Kensington/Maitland area to Cape Town CBD. Anyone?
  8. So what I'm getting is that I probably had the infection before, just without the symptoms. Is that right? Would covering up or at least zipping up before descending help prevent this kind of thing in future or not? Just trying to prevent illness where I can.
  9. You saying there isn't a link between the two then? I'm only asking based the the Vuelta commentators statement. thought nothing of it till then.
  10. Lesson learnt I guess. I had a damn jacket in my pocket.
  11. Is there a link between the two. I picked up a chest infection this weekend and just thought its going around, Then heard the commentator at the Vuelta mention that riders may need some newspaper to cover their chests once they reached the top of the first climb (although he did say it might be warm enough at the time). This made me wonder, I was fine when riding on Sunday, went to the top of Suikerbossie, turned around and went back home. Remember thinking it was a bit cold during the descent. Anyways, started sneezing and eventually coughing throughout Sunday and gotten worse since. So my question is, is there a link and if so, what is it?
  12. Wouldn't it be easier to cross the bridge that takes you to the M5 but go through maitland instead? Then from berkley road, up to and past Vincent Pallotti, then the ramp up to the common? Sorry I dont have a better way to explain this route
  13. So, who will all be joining tomorrow?
