  1. My 5 cents, having owned a few, much more expensive bikes, the Anthem is a very, very good bike and great value for money when comparing parts and performance to money spent !
  2. MTB prices in general have increase way too much. In my opinion this is due to the high interest in MTB. ( demand ) However, as with any area or industry, it will slow and the bike prices will come down as the market becomes saturated. The quantity of second hand bikes for sale is a indication that the market has past the peak and is stable and might see a downward trend soon. ( this is just my opinion ) Regarding the bike, Looks awesome and would love to give it a test ride. Nothing like a test ride to convince those in the market :-) GLWS
  3. I am also looking for a 27,5 set :-) ( how sad that lbs has stock issues ... ? )
  4. Sounds like great fun. When and where is the next event ?
  5. I am looking for the 650B option. Any sellers ?
  6. Got to love the forum. Quick and to the point, market research for the product done. I think the frame guard as shown on the bike in the first photo would be a better product to sell ... may I have 2 please ! Hate it when my carbon frame scratches !
  7. I have had the Trance 26", Giant XTC, Spez Epic and now the Spez Camber 29" I have posted this else where, Your riding skill will determine what you find to be the best bike. I started with the Trance, easy bike to ride and gave confidence on the downhills. The epic has a steeper head and seat tube angle and I struggled to find confidence in the bike on downhills. then moved to the camber, feels like a hybrid between the Trance and Epic, a bit slacker and a bit more forgiving. Thus, making me feel more confident and in the end enjoy the ride more.... So, the real question is....how well do you ride ?
  8. Seems your thread got derailed.... Merida make good bikes. Most shops have test bikes, take it for a ride. I have ridden many bikes. Best advise I can give is to look for a bike that does not have a too steep head angle. Bike will feel hard to ride and not inspire when heading down hill. So, in short, your riding skill should affect your bike choice most ! Good luck finding the right bike and test as many as possible before buying.
