  1. Get the correct facts. Beukes and Heyns were 5 minutes ahead when this happened. The incident was witnessed by a group of riders including Oli. When they called him he swore at them. It was not 5 meters. That is what I heard. Believe what you will.
  2. This is an uncalled for comment. The protest was not made by the "second placed team". As I understand it the "second placed team" was well ahead of Kevin and company when this happened. I am sure the second placed team would have preferred winning the jersey rather than inheriting it in this way. Think before posting. Surely the 1st placed team also wanted to win really badly. Nothing wrong with that ..
  3. Upside down shocks tend to have more stiction. Not an issue on a mx bike but that is the reason the last motorbike conventional shocks, like those on the 97 RM with cartridge internals and WP Extremes are still much sought after, especially for a woods bike, where you want good response over roots. This is important for bicycles. Conventionals have other advantages, if an oil seal pops you do not lose your oil as much as with an upside down. Might be possible to fit boots with foam ring on these though? I hate how the current conventionals on bicycles are eaten up by grit and dust on the stantions. Lefty should not be mentioned with other upside downs. It slides on greased roller bearings, overcoming the stiction and lubrication issues. Wonderful engineering.
  4. Please,I would like to know, with an edge 500, if I have 1 powertap on MTB and 1 another powertap on road bike, how will the 500 deal with it? will it have to be paired everytime or will it do it automatically as part of changing bike profile?
  5. Looking at the email, it seems your dream team/SSG wanted to brag a bit, hence the "trophy shot". 101% most likely you are buggering up the chances of a successful prosecution on some of the potential charges. Consider removing it please.
  6. From a crime investigation point of view it might be a bad idea posting this guy's face here. If there are still victims who must ID him, ID parades need to be held. Potentially you may be buggering up any ID parades to such an extend that he may go free on those crimes.
  7. See http://www.timesert.com/html/engineeringdataM.html and http://www.metalockasia.com/engineering_products.php#timesert This gives you an idea of what inserts available. take your shock to someone who has the kit and ask for repair. Otherwise if your shock has V-brake bosses, buy an old wheel and fit proper brakes (V-brakes). Retrorider2010-01-12 04:32:08
  8. Proper repair would be Time-sert insert. find out who does it in your area. Wurth most likely? The dimensions of the boss is relevant to see what insert it would or would not take. There are other options also, some i do not want to mention in case i am crucified by inhouse expert. You will get this fixed easily.
  9. Merlin, does it take a 6mm bolt? Dimensions of the boss itself?
  10. My 305 has also been giving problems on and off. They tend to sell underdeveloped products at times. This guy sums up the problem well and gives a solution. http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?topic=33563.0 Retrorider2009-11-29 15:16:34
  11. Wat sal ek nou my ratte wil opf*k!
Sterkte!
