  1. Awsome guys. We are looking forward to this race. Hope its not just sand.
  2. Double the kj and more than double the carbs compared to castle lite. Also taking into account its *** tasting and more expensive, I shall stick to my Castle lite.
  3. Move Riciardo to 2nd place ahead of Lewis, and Valteri Bottas ahead of Rossberg. And WTF is Vettel doing on the list? Fernando as usual deserves the 1st spot.
  4. Absolutely agree.
  5. Read all the posts please, we are complaining about seeding. Well done on 20th, you didnt podium, so according to Dick you didnt race, sorry. Also being seeded in C, you were very close to the front, so you cant really complain about anything. Not racing for 2 years and getting a c seeding, you lucky fish.
  6. Racing doesnt mean finishing on the podium, please man. Racing your mates, or club members, or trying to improve last years time, thats all racing.
  7. You see for me, I would rather give them criticism and hope they fix it, than boycott the race. Lets hope next year it improves, because it really is a great ride.
  8. There are ways around this, if you chose not to race, thats fine. Some of us like to race, and there are plenty of races that get it right. Merging a 15km kiddies ride with guys doing the 50km is dangerous. End of story, the difference in speed is huge. A little planning regarding starting times and where the routes join can easily avoid this.
  9. The most accurate seeding is PPA. No doubt. Seed according to the PPA seeding, and if you have not done a PPA race, which is extremely unlikely, then you go at the back, the very back. Because then you are obviously not concerned about racing. Having guys doing the 60km in 5 hours plus, starting before guys who did it in 3 hours makes no sense to me. This isnt just a issue for faster riders, believe me, the amount of times I had to pull over for faster riders were even more than me passing slower riders and walkers.
  10. If I pay for the first round of beers at the High School party, I might get lucky and meet the twat who did the seeding. Invatation only.
  11. Once the routes merged we were ALL stuck behind Granny, Oupa, Boetie ,Sussie,Mommy, Pappa and the whole family doing the race.
  12. So it seems biggest complaint is seeding. Its very important part of any race. It reduces bottle necks and the risk of colliding with slower riders. It also eliminates frustration from slower, non experienced riders not keeping left or moving over. For me its also much more fun to ride with people of equal ability and not constantly having to overtake or getting overtaken. Obviously the Amarider system is flawed, and the tag system is pretty ***, my results are not showing, and mates of mine are listed in the wrong distance. Dont want to be over critical, race was fun, route was good. Small things can make this one of the best. Next year is the 10th anniversary, lets hope they fix the niggles.
  13. Yeah dude. Exactly my question. Who does the seeding? Drunk High school kids?
  14. Logistics just dont make sense at all. Skipping this one boys.
  15. Had fun, really tough race. the mud was insane, spoiled my fun for sure. Just too many people. Start the race earlier, make the groups smaller, and have a bigger gap between starting times for the groups. And for the love of all that is holy, please please please please sort out your seeding. How can guys pushing every hill and riding takkies and shorts have better seeding than some of us racers. If you dont know how to seed riders, ask PPA for advice. Other than that, fun day out, just confirmed that all the red wine and braais lately are not good for my fitness.
  16. That colour actually is amazing, because you notice that before the *** suspension fork spoils the bike.
  17. Walked into the bottle store now and bought the new amstel lite. And the new castle chocolate milk stout. And some jack black if some of the girls would like a beer or 2 tonight.
  18. Hopefully we can ride back in a big group. this looks like such a fun ride, watched the Johannesburg ride on youtube, looks awsome man.
  19. So if it starts in rondebosch and ends in Cbd, how do we get back to our cars. Not really any safe roads from the cbd back to rondebosch? Or am I missing something.
  20. I will drink my catpiss rather than paying for Crafty Hipster beer. If I have money to waste I go to teazers and drink castle lite.
  21. absolutely agree, even younger kids.
  22. Beer and Pizza, the perfect pairing. Nothing is better than that. Every Saturday we go for beer and pizzas after a race.
  23. Love Castle light.
  24. Craft beers are too expensive, to me they not worth it. My favourite beer in the world is Corona, but quite hard to find in SA. Otherwise a good draught is my favourite, whether its Peroni, Castle lite, or even Black Label draught.
