  1. Thanks for all the replies guys, appreciated..... Took a week off, and was back on bike yesterday afternoon and this morning commuting to work and back. Felt great. Sometimes a break just is the ticket. Regards
  2. I like that, and dodge all the taxi's I suppose Regards
  3. Hello All, I have hit a real down in my training. How do you guys motivate yourselves to train. Make no mistake, I enjoy riding, but have really lost interest spending endless hours in the saddle, and spiniing you can have for free, I endure that only in the coldest months of the year. Would love to hear your motivational stories. Regards, Leon
  4. I am very similiar, only diffs is I use UCAN instead of that other sugary cr@p, works a treat. Honestly, after Berg and Bush my motivation has not been the same to sit in the saddle for tedious ridiculous hours, this week I have not even been on bike once. Need to find my motivation again. All the best
  5. I am an addict.... What can I say..... Regards
  6. Morning guys, Why am I always flippen starving about an hour or so after breakfast. I generally have some fruit (2 pieces), 3 eggs, 2 cups of coffee with cream and a tablespoon of coconut oil?? And generally after that I am satisfied, dont need to eat more at that point?? Any help please. Regards
  7. Coconut oil, Macadamia nut butter, almonds, olive oil, butter, ghee, avo's, sardines in virgin olive oil, The list is endless, problem is our internal computer is programmed not to see the fats but rather the carbs, you need to reverse that and then you fine. Oh, and don't forget the fatty cold water fish either, good source of omega 3 which you need. Good luck on the budget thing. PS, Picked up some free range botswana rib eye steaks at Foodlovers today… can't wait to try those baby's. Regards
  8. Yoh, I have always said us white people are really stupid, cause those Basothos can sit around their rondavel all day while the women cultivate the fields and brew some beer for the BWANA.... All the best.
  9. Ja of course, but hell, what food is not misformed/ enriched?? Damn difficult eating a 100% strict paleo or whatever other diet. My take is that if I have 0mega-3 eggs, and a decent helping of fatty fish a few times a week that side of the equation should be sorted out... Mostly anyway. Thanks for input. Regards
  10. Does anybody know where to buy omega3 enriched eggs?? Regards
  11. Guys, Is lamb a better source of protein/ fat compared to beef and chicken. I am asking specifically to the fact that beef and chicken is mostly feedlot (grain) fed and most sheep I see is free roaming, meaning they eat mostly grass??. Would love some feedback. Regards
  12. My weight has dropped 3kg since last weekends berg and bush. Cant say what I have different, as a matter of fact I have been a little sloppy this week... So I dont know. Felt terrible on my ride this morning, so just went to middle blade and settled on a nice easy heart rate, and just spun it out for 1h30. Maybe this lethargy is just the fact that I have achieved the goal of Berg and bush and now I dont really have other goal to train for?? Regards
  13. Sorry guys, just google "Editorial Claims Bad Rap for Saturated Fat, Disputes Dietary Dogma " and you will get past the wall.
  14. Another nail in CH0's coffin. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/813036

  18. Avo and tin of sardines for lunch including the oil from the tin of sards.... Yoh.... Thats filling.... Puts lead in your pencil... All the best.
  19. Did anyone gather some GPS tracks, GPX format please. Regards
  20. Good stuff Dave. Your carb intake was really not that huge and thats why it felt ok. Think if you had the continues ingress of whatever carb drink, and all the cookies etc you may have felt very different. All the best.
  21. Ja, dagga pad for rookie is perfect!!!!
  22. Not convinced here, but thats just my own experience. I find that I dont need anything but water and maybe a handfull of nuts on long endurance rides when I am fuelled up with UCAN. If I stop and peck at waterpoints etc my energy levels drop off dramatically. Regards
  23. I can vouch for that, seriously, why is UCAN not discussed more, or known about more?? Maybe cause it really works and its not a marketing company, just saying!! Regards
  24. Ja, its the stuff you dont find at Mugg and Bean!!!
  25. I had a serious craving for cheesecake for a while now and on Friday nite I had a fat slice.... Man oh man, was that a mistake... I felt so **** that I did not even bother getting on my bike on Saturday. The cheat is not worth it. Regards
