  1. Possible......well definitely for one candle......8 will be a stretch. Had to punch out a flame without touching the candle during a black belt grading. Some okes really tried to shout or spit it out. Some funny scenes.
  2. Thus the words "auto calibrate"....Polar themselves recommend speed sensors and footpods to be used for those people who want more accurate readings......
  3. The foot pod should be more accurate as it auto calibrates to your stride.....it will be debated by the statistic monsters that GPS is not all that accurate...
  4. LOL....I am not a spelling nazi but couldn't resist
  5. Don't be embaressed be embarrassed
  6. Same here...with or without denim pant...I am not fussy...
  7. Here I was thinking moustache......
  8. Morning guys and ladies....I have been following this topic with great interest albeit being very silent on the topic... As luck would have it, I do tests on some high profile athletes which in return allows me access to some pretty good info and stats.....I just want to share something on a little experiment we did in regards to the i-watch..... I got some info from one of the athletes this morning and the experiment followed on from a brainfart I had looking in to the specs of the Apple Watch....the allocation of points and the need for a GPS sensor.... The watch has an accelerometer as well as the heart rate monitor....I simply wondered to myself as to how accurate this unit was in terms of running and heart rate.... So I got one of the athletes to help me with this and got some stats from him this morning.... He went for a 2 h 10 minute ride using the activity app.on the i-watch not using his phone or any other app. such as Strava or Mapmyfitness..... He was allocated 1 500 points and they seemed to have used his heart rate average based on his age related heart rate.... He then sent me info where he went for a run using his Polar M400 with heart monitor belt as well as the i-watch again not using any other app or running with his phone....this is what I found most interesting... The M400 is quite a sophisticated unit using GPS and the accelerometer built in to the unit adds cadence to his data (a nice function but not overly crucial) The run was done over a distance of (add number).18 and the average heart rate was 143 as recorded on the M400.... The info pulled from the i-watch made the run (add number).19 and the average heart rate value was 144 which puts the run out by 10 meters and the heart rate by 1 beat per minute.... I must be honest....I am quite impressed and although it's a smart watch it is starting to look like a relatively good fitness and activity tracker without too much fuss.... Just a little bit of trivia so I can add my 1 cent worth.....
  9. But he makes a valid point....
  10. If some people here had to apologize for most of what they say without thinking the threads would never die.....
  11. Perhaps unlike yourself I am actually man enough to make an apology...
  12. I am not sure Fandacious....yes it might look like you got grilled and I was one of the guys within that line of questioning...my reason and logic behind it all you have read and here we are getting along on amicable terms purely because I don't see you in the same light as the dopers....if Kevin or any of the names mentioned above were to join the hub....I might totally ignore them or act a lot less cicvil....I have no time for dopers.....
  13. Ah...I knew it...there is always a reason...
  14. I know...it's a very weak look...right up their with the judgemental look.....
  15. A little story....I have a friend who told me that as newlyweds they lived in a block of flats....they often heard sounds and noises till early hours in to the morning coming from their neighbours flat...they were really concerned and started thinking and expecting the worst...they would often hear a knocking sound....to them in their minds it sounded like someone chained up to an oil heater on the wall....they would then hear voices and words like "scalpel" "stitches" "cutting" and so on was often what they overheard...visits to the laundromat also became an interesting affair...other neighbours would sit and start talking amongst themselves...soon stories spread about the weird man with the hop that was suspected of possibly being a serial killer and harbouring women...quite a few people suggested the police get brought in to it all...other suggesting it's all very weird but perhaps a bit too "out there"...this was in the very early 90's...cut a long story short....my friend and his wife receive and invite to dinner at the suspected killers flat....very nervous and with much thought they accept his invitation...informing the others neighbours to be on standby....it actually turns out that the "killer" was a heart surgeon busy writing a book and spoke in to a dictaphone and thereafter would play it back and put it to paper.... Yes it sounds stupid and OTT and I can understand that some will bring up the word paranoia....but just imagine what could have been if they took to twitter... My little fun story for the day.... Oh and the hop....his one leg was quite a bit shorter than the other...
  16. True that....it does however raise in interesting question...are some of the PED's they have on the list really all that beneficial and do they actually belong on the list...just a thought..
  17. Exactly...your post came across as if you insinuated that I might have suggested it was a crime....that is why I asked where you found the connotation...
  18. Exactly what I said....but where you found the connotation to it being a crime....that puzzles me....
