  1. Baggies are all the rage these days, didn't you know? Actually, uh, no I didn't. These days? I've been wearing shorts, jeans – anything over and above underpants, really – for as long as I've been on two wheels. Lycra? No, never, not even once. When Fox sent over this pair of shorts, I was pretty surprised and a bit uneasy when I saw the detachable inner lining with chamois padding. Do these make me look like I'm wearing a nappy? 2. Agreed, SLiick. I ran them at about 1.8bar most of the time and found this to work best.
  3. When it came time to choose tyres for my new bike I wasn't keen to follow the hype and pay millions of my hard earned cents on the trendy rubber. There's so many options out there, and why not go for something that hasn't necessarily been proven on the enduro or downhill circuit? Click here to view the article
  4. Ya it's good fun. Was properly hairy in the mud and blind though!
  5. Sorry bro, already listened to it...
  6. By the looks of it, I have no idea. I think it was a switchback though, which at least covers up my confusion a bit.
  7. I have Andrew Backstrom from Dial'd Bikes to blame for this. He convinced me that riding the Main Line at Contermanskloof on my trail bike was a fine idea, having never ridden any line there before. As it turned out, it was in fact a great idea, if you're judging the idea but how much fun was had. Click here to view the article
  8. I've been running an X9 type 2 RD with a Raceface N/W with no issues at all...
  9. Stupid ink. If you go into the News tab and search for "review: funn" they should come up. We didn't do a review on the Funndementals, no. But I have handled a pair in person, and I might've preferred them to the BigFoots for their lower profile. The pins alone are a great reason to get them. They are super grippy.
  10. Hey guys, we actually did a few reviews on FUNN products. Check them out here.
  11. Peschlsports, management of the Kargo Pro MTB Team, are extremely excited and proud to announce that William Mokgopo has joined the first official UCI XCO MTB Team in South Africa. Click here to view the article
  12. For those of you who enjoyed Martyn Ashton's Road Bike Party and its sequel, featuring Danny MacAskill and Chriss Akrigg, this was made just for you. It's not the typical bloopers-style behind the scenes either, but a full on making-of complete with bloopers. Click here to view the article
  13. Voting's all done and a winner has been chosen! Congratulations to Rata Del Spruit for his photo "Thaba Drift". Click here to view the article
  14. Class costs! But is beautiful...
  15. I went XT's after Elixers, never looked back. Been riding them for 9 months and haven't had to re-bleed, change the pads, nothing. Not to mention their phenomenal performance and SILENCE! I've heard the SLX's are, as rouxtjie said, debadged XT's. Fit and forget option
  16. Hey guys, last day of voting for April! Makes sure to get your say in.
  17. One of the many offerings in the action camera market, ION's Air Pro 2 is just below their top product, the Air Pro 3, and is coined as the more affordable, but still capable HD cam for those looking to film their adventures. Click here to view the article
  18. Spain’s Javier Gomez Noya’s quest to become the second man to win four ITU World Championships gained strength in Cape Town yesterday, as he comfortably beat Jonathan Brownlee for his second consecutive ITU World Triathlon Series win in 2014. Click here to view the article
  19. "The idea came about while I was extreme mountain biking on a similar bike." Classic. You think his was silver plated with V-brakes?
  20. Thanks, I'll look at these options. And yes, it is a dream for sure Loving them so far!
  21. I can only manage to keep one bike at a time, so it has to be one that will suit how I ride most considerably. My Nukeproof Snap did this job admirably, as at the time I was riding street more often with a few trails rides here and there. Most recently, it has been the opposite, so I needed something to compensate. Enter the Santa Cruz Blur TRc. Click here to view the article
  22. This past weekend saw the second Mzansi Tour wrap up with local and international teams battling head-to-head. A dominant show from Team MTN-Qhubeka saw Jacques Janse van Rensburg take the overall honours and the team take five of the six classifications on offer. Click here to view the article
  23. https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/mtb/international-mtb/pmb-world-cup-found-in-the-pits-schwalbe-dual-chamber-r1357 Dual chamber Schwalbes Those First Ride Schwalbes we saw yesterday were Magic Marys, just a development pair. The First Ride name only demarcates that the tyre is a development unit.
  24. The revolutionary dual chamber system revealed by Schwalbe not too long ago was spotted in the Pietermaritzburg pits. There were a few riders on them for the DH and we could be seeing them more and more throughout the year. Click here to view the article
  25. All the dust is settled and Aaron Gwin has come back to 2014 charging to victory. Greg Minnaar was super fast, but at the end could only pull of third and Mick Hannah blasted down the hill early on and managed a superb 2nd. In the women's, Manon Carpenter followed her first in qualifying with a great win, with Rachel Atherton coming second. Click here to view the article
