  1. Two of these new Rockshox RS-1 inverted forks are around for the first World Cup in Pietermaritzburg. They are more stunning in real life and certainly look stiffer than a horse's kick. Click here to view the article
  2. Qualifying for the 2014 PMB World Cup took a surprising turn with Aaron Gwin taking top spot, with Josh Bryceland second and Greg Minnaar shortly after. Gee Atherton had an unfortunate over-the-bar incident, but was unhurt, so don't count him out of the running either. Click here to view the article
  3. We caught up with Santa Cruz Syndicate Team mechanic, Doug Hatfield for a few minutes to speak about the setup of the team's V10's. Click here to view the article
  4. First day of practice at the Pietermaritzburg MTB World Cup, and the downhill guys are getting warmed up. The course isn't as forgiving as some might have thought and the additions are catching some riders out. Click here to view the article
  5. Ryan Franklin from Monster Energy caught up with Nigel Page, manager of Team CRC/Nukeproof to see what they were running for the Pietermaritzburg DH course. Turns out it's something very special. Click here to view the article
  6. It's finally here, the first round of the UCI World Cup in Pietermaritzburg. Yesterday was the start of the festivities and a chance for all the riders to check out the Downhill course. Click here to view the article
  7. Kristian House and his British Rapha Condor JLT team lit up the first day of the Mzansi Tour on Tuesday, scorching up the 5km prologue around Emmarentia Dam in Johannesburg. Click here to view the article
  8. A completely redesigned 36 Enduro fork headlines the lineup, along with updates to the rest of the line that are a direct result of the 34 RAD project during the 2013 race season. Click here to view the article
  9. It is... I'll explain about it more in the next instalment, where I'll describe my build. But it isn't factory standard....
  10. It isn't the easiest to keep it all shiny and sparkling, but at the same time, it makes you clean it every time, so it's always fresh!
  11. The seed was sown on a particularly bumpy trail ride on my Nukeproof Snap, possibly the stiffest possible ride you will experience bar rigid bikes. It was time, I needed a bike I could throw down a trail without worrying about my poor body being bashed up by the vibrations. And so it started, my search for a hardy trail/all mountain bike had begun. Click here to view the article
  12. Hey Hubbers, 15 minutes till the voting closes for this month! If you haven't had your say, get moving!
  13. Oh, to have a garage and many spare bike parts to met about with. The guys at Fairdale Bikes look like they're having too much fun on their home-crafted, tomfoolery fuelled machines. Click here to view the article
  14. Once you have won you can enter again and can have another Photo of the Day, but you won't be eligible to win another GoPro.
  15. It is Ironman South Africa time again and the tenth edition of the race takes place this Sunday, 6 April in Port Elizabeth. As always in the week leading up to race day there is much speculation as to what Mother Nature is going to have in store for theses incredible athletes. Tri Talk SA this week caught up with weatherman Simon Gear to get a forecast for the weekend and in particular for Sunday. Click here to view the article
  16. Have you voted for three photos? Cause based on the error of 'too few votes' that may be the case
  17. Online entries are open for the 2014 Mzansi Tour Criterium, which forms part of the morning’s activities on the final day of the five-day tour at Blue Hills Estate, Midrand, on Saturday 12 April. Click here to view the article
  18. With the Absa Cape Epic done and dusted, muddy and sore, we thought it would be great to recap the events through all the beautiful images that encapsulate the event so well. Click here to view the article
  19. As an avid cyclist it was important for me to get something for my son that would have 'serious cyclist' written all over it. When Matt (i.e. Admin to all the Hubbers, and my neighbour) asked if I would be willing to write a review for the Frog Tadpole balance bike, it seemed a perfect option. Click here to view the article
  20. Most probably. I have heard of some going more than 30% though, but I'm not sure how far they went. It's really not to say that 30% didn't work really well, though.
  21. Hey Martin, thanks for pointing that out, I forgot to add it in there. I made sure to run the sag at 30% as dictated by the guys at PYGA. I wonder if running it 35% wouldn't have done the trick. PYGA are a bit strict on this point, though.
  22. The idea behind the PYGA OneTwenty was to make a bike that you can ride just about anywhere, however you like and have fun. It's not meant to be a marathon or enduro racer or anything as serious as that. But I don't doubt that you can do exactly that with it while laughing the whole time. Click here to view the article
  23. Say hello to SRAM Guides. Spotted here on Velovert.com, it looks like SRAM are finally releasing a new brake to their lineup. Or are they ditching the old Elixir lineup altogether? Click here to view the article
