  1. not sure, The Tri Shop or any Cape Town store will be able to get from us if they don't have stock. (I work for Profile Design)
  2. try a Profile Design Wahoo suit, usually retails around R3200.00 for a new suit and you have piece of mind that no-one has pee'd in it before you
  3. @ Mark Ellis - Insured for R30 000 and premium is R144.53 (MAXIFIN Insurance Brokers are my Brokers, the owner is a fellow avid cyclist so he understands the nature of the sport, his mail is theuns@maxifin.co.za) @ gummibear - will PM you, don't want to mention the brand on public forum and paint them in a bad light, frame served me so well thus far!
  4. AWESOME!! cuddo's to CWC Online
  5. haha will post pics of the new machine when it arrives! 2011 Argon 18 E112 - I am so excited I might just wet myself
  6. alas no, 2 reason.. 1. Manufacturer doesn't make that particular frame anymore 2. Bought the frame from a fellow hubber so I don't have proof of purchase from LBS
  7. For Ironman there is NO better product but to be honest I find it is found wanting when it comes to XC, was riding Thornhill track in PE which if i am not mistaken has hosted a few National XC events and it really lacked the initial kick you need to keep the tempo high in XC. Long Distance that stuff is unbelievable but when it comes to taking the bike to the limits I use USN's Cyto Power HP>>
  8. I had to put a claim in yesterday for my frame which cracked (thankfully it is covered under my All Risk policy) and I just got a call from my broker saying the claim will be authorised today, now that is service
  9. X1 would be my choice full XT and it is PRETTY!!
  10. awesome!! thank you very much! do you do this type of thing? if you have experience in it I would feel happier using someone like yourself?
  11. i quit road cycling (cause i got bored of it after 8 years) and started Triathlon, been AWESOME!! started a bit of MTB now as well and I have to force myself to train on my TT bike, the trails are SO much fun
  12. unfortunately this place is not known for it's 'manners and etiquette' it seems it is everyman for himself >> ok that is a generalisation, there are many awesome people here, you might have to get your hands a bit dirty to secure a sale here (meaning you'll need to defend yourself and your ad) my 2 cents ....
  13. Good day, Please could those in the know provide me with some advice. I have the old Spynergy wheelsets (the UCI banned 4 spoke carbon ones) and I am wanting to convert the rear wheel into a full disc wheel. I have a guy who can do it but I am wondering if it is going to effect the wheel balance etc. The wheel will function as normal as far as I can see as the Carbon cover will only really by for aesthetics and aerodynamics and wont contribute at all to the function of the wheel. I will use the 4 spokes as the 'foundation' to lay the cover on so the spokes and outer rim etc will still be what 'drives' the wheel if that makes any sense. Thanking you in advance for your assisstance!
  14. the bottom swing has the 'joint' under the clamp that secures it to the frame and the top swing's 'joint' is above/next to the clamp. dont think anyone is better than the other, some full sus frames have pivot points just above the BB which force one to use a bottom swing.
  15. the best thing i have discovered about MTB in my short few weeks of riding is that you dont get the 'fun riders' who hide in the bunch while you help work in front and then you get to a hill and off they go very chuffed with themselves that they can go up a hill so fast, no such thing as that in MTB there's no where to hide when there is no tar!! a true test of one's fitness and ability in my opinion!!
  16. if i lived in CT i would be there like a bear!!!
  17. As someone new to mtb this is quite a scary thought!
  18. is Chrissie Wellington coming to IMSA ????? i better practise my proposal
  19. he didn't enter 70.3 because he was focussing on the Abu Dahbi race, as far as I know he is racing IMSA, saw him in one of our LBS the other evening and he is looking strong! hoping for another win
  20. you had to pay to be a volunteer?? that doesn't make sense, but at least you'll be there
  21. ja $2 does seem a bit low to me as well I gues it's the thought that counts and 2000 x 2$ will be $4000.00 that will go to her folks in SA which will be somewhere the R30 000.00 mark?
  22. a friend sent me this link... My link what do you guys think? Carla Swart who road for HTC-Highroad (who are sponsored by Lezyne), passed away tragically recently. Seems Lezyne wan to bring out a limited edition custom tool-kit to support the initiative 'Carla's Circle' From the site... "Carla’s Circle is a fund that was created by Highroad Sports to help Carla’s family and to help them continue Carla’s interests. For more information or to make a donation to Carla's Circle, please visit the official website here>>."
