1st pic is my first attempt at my parents house 2nd pic is what a friend and I build at the Toyota MTN Bike park, it was really good to learn on, had all the diff heights for forward and sideways moves and lots of gaps to learn on.
  14. I was the only guy on a Giant Glory, No 55 That mud in the morning was seriously hectic but i think that headwind was even worse. I also got that stall feeling in the air and came up short on the front wheel, luckily not too bad, tried pinning the next practice sucking it and landing short but i figured out i can bottom out my suspension front and back. Luckily in race runs i had little wind so was able to clear the road, ill post a vid of RR in the next few days. That was an awesome track big ups to the builders and organizers  brilliant weekend

I have found wood is the easiest and best. easy to construct and change things and it breaks before your bike does if your learning.
  16. I was able to watch the Trials World Cup over the net this past sunday. Those guys are amazing. Huge props to Kenny for still coming 2nd with a broken wrist and cracked elbow  He still rode like a legend even while he was broken.
  17. Check out the updated DJ FB page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dirt-Jumping-in-JHB/218852894797977
  18. Cant wait till sat looks like a FUN track, proper FR
  19. bigger wheel than a 29er, youll roll over ANYTHING. Simpler than a SS and Fixie, No chain, brakes or anything to worry about wearing out.
  20. Aaron flew through that top section, it was flipping hectic, its scary that he is putting 8 seconds into 2nd place He looks seriously out of control and on the edge but he deserved it
  21. Ill take Boxxer over 888 anyday just ride a rigid till you leave, thats all the training your hands will need for brake bumps.
  22. That was all dumped there 4 years ago, will require a lot of moving and shaping but there is TONS of dirt. Im keen if you guys are, I honestly dont think they will ever develope there. another place that might be cool is the old golf coarse on Club street.
  23. I also live just around the corner, cleaned up the cement area a few weeks ago to practice trials on. I know the little birdy that organized 20 trucks to be dumped there. They where spose to develop the land thats why they kicked us out.
  24. Forgot about the Hurlingham line and the Boksburg line. Sorry Fairy and Daaaavvvvi
  25. I do think we will run into problems with council there. I think we should just make the jumps that exist better, DHL - last time was awesome, just too many hobos Scout Hall line - apparently are rideable again but probably just need some finishing off, mb some reshaping also. BP jumps - are pretty cool, need to learn how to ride them then you can have fun, beginner line is crap thou. more than enough to work with there
