  1. They had some mapping problems yesterday with the Suter, hope it's sorted. My opinion is that Ian Lougher is an excellent choice. He has more experience than anybody alive on a 2stroke at IOMTT, the young guns have almost zero, it will be suicide on this circuit to give them such a weapon, not good if someone gets killed on Suter's first outing there. Lougher knows his 2strokes, most of all, he knows how to ride the wheels off of them at the IOMTT's without killing himself in the past. Only the next few days will tell if that thing is tamable...
  2. First two days in Douglas, Isle of Man TT: some final preparation of the Suter MMX500 bike(s). Also a few changes to comply with the TT-regulations as for example installing a rear light. Already the Suter tent is being visited by many spectators and some of Ian Lougher’s closest rivals who are curious to find out more about the Swiss 2stroke-rocket. We are happy to see so many 2stroke enthusiasts! One of many TT-stars visiting the Suter-tent to have a closer look at the Suter MMX500: Connor Cummins discussing with Ian Lougher the qualities of the "bicycle with rocket propulsion"-chassis. * Today at 6.20pm (Local Time - Isle of Man) the Suter MMX500 will start and we will enjoy the practice.
  3. It still amazes me for being rewarded 100 points just for swiping your card at the gym, great incentive for getting "Fit & Healthy". God forbid the weekly points goals reach 800 for those lazy couch potatoes daily swiping their gym cards with only 7 days in a week...the belly bouncers will be at war for not having their weekly dose of smoothies, especially those paying back the money for those apple watches. At least they'll save some petrol/diesel driving to the gym and back. Bring on Friday!

  5. KOM taken back a day later. One of the reasons I suggested tackling segments that are a bit off the beaten track and takes you more than a couple of days to recover to even think of attempting them again.
  6. Well done, try now to make your weekly points goal like the rest of us...
  7. Having a mediacal aid will not help you here, hospitals are becoming the most dangerous places on earth...
  8. Tomorrow Wednesday afternoon our TT team will leave Turbenthal, Switzerland heading for the Isle of Man TT. After some intensive work during the last few weeks, both bikes are now ready to race! Ian Lougher is already on-site in Douglas and started to build up the team tent and the rest of our infrastructure in the paddock. The adventure begins…

  10. Changed of plans Harryn. I have a Garmin and a Polar device. I'll only allow the one to sync to Discovery from now on, but both will sync to my Strava. The friendly lady from Discovery phoned me and explained to me that the "system" looks at the points you have accumulated over a 12 week period and then the "system" decides if it will increase/penalize the individual and by how much points. Personally I think if you regularly achieve your weekly goals over a 12 week period, even missing perhaps a couple of weeks, the "system" will still increase/penalize and adjust the points upwards in increments of 100 points and it will stop doing so at 1200 points.
  11. You think people are with Discovery for the smoothies, which is only free if I achieve the points goal btw...jy sit die pot heeltemal mis ou swaer...
  12. I don't trust Discovery at all, as they can change the rules as they please, the only control I have is to ensure I achieve my weekly points goal so that I don't have to pay back the money for the watch and milk them every week for my two smoothies, which is going to be 4 a week very soon.
  13. I did 6 rides last week all gravel: Time: 11h04min Distance: 231,3 km Elevation: 3319 m 2200 points Going forward I will be de-linking my device as soon as I reach my points goal and re-link it again when a new week starts.
  14. The watch deal is linked to the Vitality Active Rewards and Discovery will penalize you by increasing your weekly points goal when you achieve your weekly targets (apparently every 12 weeks their clever system adjust it and they have it capped at 1200 points). Discovery changed the rules and T&C when they realized they didn't think this whole thing through, they even removed previously approved devices/apps. If you complain to Discovery that the watch is inaccurate/faulty/records on ave 20 HR beats per minute less compared to other professional devices while you try to reach your weekly points goal, they advise you to take it to your nearest iStore to get them to sort it out, or they "advise" you to fork out more of your hard earned cash and buy an approved fitness device. If you don't reach the weekly points goal, Discovery will start charging you for the Apple watch, so you decide if it's a good or a bad idea to allow Discovery to have a solid grip on your balls.
  15. Out of interest: So on the 23rd I presume you forget the HR strap and all 4 days were rides? What device are you using? Distance for the week (21-27 May)? Elevation for the week (21-27 May)? Was it Road/gravel/IDT for the week (21-27 May)? Time for the week (21-27 May)?
  16. Nah, it's more fun giggling about it and showing your friends when they come visit...
  17. You are not answering my question Myles. We all know there's a problem with the Apple watch, but why still promote the Apple watch if Discovery knows there's a problem with it as it will effect the Vitality Active Rewards, especially those people who did not bargain of forking out more for a device that actually provides more accurate data after they were baited by the Apple watch finance offer through Discovery?
  18. Please explain why they continue to promote/finance the Apple watch? http://www.techtimes.com/articles/99152/20151024/apple-watch-problems-owners-complain-apple-watch-heart-rate-readings-completely-off-the-mark.htm
