  1. Discovery is continuously moving the goal posts, even changed the approved devices. They are accommodating themselves.
  2. It would have been pretty darn cool if they implemented it correctly in the first place! Just don't like the way they are trying to screw us over, the members who do reach their weekly goals? If it was a level playing field and I didn't achieve the goals I have no problem accepting it and paying for it.
  3. From now on I will make the time to go get every single one my weekly coffees or smoothies x 2!
  4. Disco will not level the playing field, they won't stop moving the goal posts of members who do achieve their weekly goals. They know they will then have to deal with thousands of unhappy members. The more members who are not achieving their weekly goals, the less money they have to fork out for free coffees and smoothies, those who do meet their weekly goals, just increase their goals to make it harder, there's a few extra members that Disco will not need to pay for weekly free coffees and smoothies. Turn on the screws, continue to move the goal posts under the pretends that DISCO is "encouraging individuals to live a healthier lifestyle", it's not about the money savings they are making with members unable to meet the goals anymore, devices being removed and all the new vitality members they have snatched up with the sly deals they offered.
  5. Disco do have a problem paying for all those coffees and smoothies. Also, If I want my points reduced I need to miss some weekly goals and then I will get penalized with money being deducted for that stupid watch. I don't want to jipo the system and I still want to enjoy my rides. Unfortunately going for long rides or doing more than one activity a day does not cut it, it's not recognized by Discovery and not "healthy" enough. Now I have to go max out my HR a couple of hours a week or segment my rides to achieve my points goal if I have limited time. They are definitely not encouraging me to get fitter, just making me more pissed off when they increase my points and I have to put more time and effort into my training compared to other lazy fkctards.
  6. But there's some hurdles and trickery involved in that Discovery increases the points goal when individuals actually achieve the weekly goals. Members who does not exercise regularly gets the most benefit as their heart rate hit 90% just by dusting off their bikes for a couple of minutes and lifting a leg over it ones or twice a week to achieve their low points goal.
  7. Handcuffs, watch is useless as a fitness tool... I'll also pay to "watch". http://www.timeslive.co.za/thetimes/2016/05/16/Vitality-change-pace-of-the-game Responding, Vitality CEO Shrey Viranna said the company was engaging Elliot to help her "achieve her goals as we are inspired by her personal achievements and would not want her to lose her motivation". If people weren't achieving the points needed for full Apple Watch subsidisation, he said, they could either cancel the Apple Watch benefit or pause their goals for a period. In Elliot's case, having signed up for the watch just two months ago, she can get out of the deal only if she pays Vitality R6000. ..... But ultra-fit members' heart rates are lower during exercise. "Elite athletes can continue to earn Vitality fitness points, but may need to change their training plan to shorter, more frequent, higher-intensity workouts," Viranna said.
  8. Apologies for being the idiot who fell for the sly marketing watch trickery and did not 100% read/understand the T&C with regard to individual points goal that will increase when achieving the weekly points goal. I'll make sure I get the points every week so that I don't need to pay back the money...
  9. Thanks for pointing out the T&C, admittedly I did not fully understood the part about individual points goal will be increased if you achieve your weekly goals as I never used the system before, so yes, I agree I'm at fault here. Points goal increased for members who regularly achieve their weekly points goal and no increase for members who don't. Got it!
  10. Jip they have our nuts in a vise grip with this one! It benefits them actually, if you don't reach the goals "for some of the individuals" when they increase the goals you start paying back the money for the watch. Your weekly fitness goals are set by us, but are personalised to you and adjust automatically based on your activity levels. Keep working towards your goal and be rewarded if you achieve it. If you don't, we start billing you for that watch....
  11. It's silly that some are penalized for achieving their weekly goals by increasing the points goal. Where in Discovery's T&C does it state that they will increase the points goal for some and not for others?
  12. Yes seriously! Why should I get penalized for putting in the effort to get to the points goal, while they keep it low for others who don't?
  13. I didn't see anywhere in their T&C that they will penalize me by increasing the points when achieving the points goal. Their system just increases points when it picks up that you meet the goals. It should be the same for all as we pay the same. I'm being discriminated and penalized against because I reach the weekly goals.
  14. Shouldn't the Vitality Active Rewards Goal Points be the same for all, regardless if you meet the points goals or not? They are penalizing those who do reach the point goals and penalizing them by increasing their points. WTF!
  15. Nope. Just trying to make sense of how Discovery structure the points goal system for VAR
  16. So discovery won't increase point goals to those who missed a couple of weekly goals. Makes no sense. I would think it's the same for all, no matter how many points any individual achieve a week or not.
  17. Discovery vitality active rewards moved the points goal up to 700

  19. I see it picked up the 16th now when it synced and updated this afternoons ride. Weird....
  20. My workout for Monday the 16th did not get pulled through from my Garmin Connect to Discovery Vitality. 15th and 17th does reflect on my Discovery Vitality though. Not going to waste my time and energy reporting it to them.
  21. I particularly enjoy this comment...obviously pro's are going to take advise from a CEO on how to train best..... But ultra-fit members' heart rates are lower during exercise. "Elite athletes can continue to earn Vitality fitness points, but may need to change their training plan to shorter, more frequent, higher-intensity workouts," Viranna said.
