  1. Thanks Scott - that's very helpful information.
  2. It would be nice to clarify where exactly this happened as Rustenburg Road is quite long and I'd like to avoid this hotspot as I regularly cycle in the area.
  3. I have wider feet and switched to Shimano MTB shoes (SH-XC50). Find them extremely comfortable and hard wearing.
  4. Nope. I suspect that it might be due to another "technical glitch".
  5. I really enjoy the Jozi Night Series races but the administration is not up to scratch. There was a "technical glitch" at the first race that I did at the beginning of the year which meant that no results were recorded and now almost 2 weeks later and the results from the last race in April still haven't been posted. Totally unacceptable.
  6. +1 what everyone else said. They are one of my favourite online stores.
  7. Crickets & tumbleweed...
  8. There's a good chance that your rear rotor is slightly warped and needs to be trued as they bend pretty easily. Although you can true a rotor with a shifting spanner or even just your fingers, I would suggest buying a proper rotor truing tool such as this one as it's a good long-term investment. I use mine all the time! Birzman also make a cheap brake gap measurer tool which I find works much better than the business card method to space your brake pads.
  9. This is a great video tutorial on how to easily remove pedals without damaging the crank arms: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jD0vhR7SgZU&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DjD0vhR7SgZU&app=desktop And if the pedals are seized try spraying some Q20 around the spindles and let it soak for a few hours before trying to remove them using the technique in the video above with a proper pedal spanner/wrench like this one as allen keys and shifting spanners don't work as well.
  10. Wet wipes should do the job. Use them all the time.
  11. Now that we've got that settled, the award for the most irritating person on radio goes to... http://blog.nomu.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/702-Talk-Radio-800px.jpg
  12. Huge props to Richard and his team. Well organised event with a challenging course and they nailed every detail including the fantastic weather ;-) Most importantly though, everybody had fun and I enjoyed listening to the war stories afterwards. Will definately enter again next year!
  13. I went to school with Robin. She's a really great gal!
  14. I have a similar setup (carbon seat post & carbon rails) but with two bolts and each bolt is tightened at 7nm. As Chowder says the single bolt types can go a little higher but I wouldn't go over 10nm.
  15. I've only had brilliant service from Rush Sports. Placed a mixed order with them on Monday afternoon and the parcel was delivered Thursday morning. They even threw in an extra gel sachet because they didn't have the flavour that I ordered in stock.
