  6. Jogging cause of the weather. Cycling when wet and below freezing is asking for k@k.
  7. Started riding alone. I love riding with my group that can be anything from 2 - 40 riders strong. But given that I have a one year old at home I am not willing to risk others concept of good hygiene and social distance.
  8. I use an Evoc bag for everyday rides. It holds 1x tube,1x Co2, 1x tire lever. It is nice and compact and does not interfere with the ride. For much much longer rides I use this!
  9. I used to have Nespresso but switched to grinding my own coffee. I use a Hario Slim Ceramic Grinder and brew the coffee in a Bialetti stovetop moka pot. My wifes cousin owns a coffee distributor called Social Coffee where we get our coffee from. I love coffee machines but have found that the Moka pot makes the best coffee.
  10. Whatever you do, don't put lights on your helmet. Don't be like those other poepstreepe that look at you as they pass by and blind you in the process. Just get a 600 lumen front light. You really don't need more than that unless you are smashing through some singletrack without moonlight!
  11. They will good on many rides. That's the beauty of leather shoes!
  12. Good luck everyone. This is my third year missing the CTCT. It will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the event that got me into cycling. May the wind be on your back.

  15. Some winter cycling out in the country. It was a lovely 1C today.
  16. Any pic from sunny Cape Town makes me want to ride. I left RSA in 2017 and have had the privilege of cycling in many other countries. Yet nothing beats rolling down chappies towards Noordhoek on Saturday morning for coffee!
  17. I am 191cm and ride a 59cm road bike and XL MTB. I was told that if I want to get a gravel bike I should consider a 58cm or even 56cm. The shorter top tube will give me more control over the bike on single track. Is there any truth to this?
