I need to replace my XTR chainrings now....OUCH! The BCD is the same as XT and others so i'm busy doing my homework on that. XTR derailers are still fine after many kays! Had a problem with one shifter thats worn but made a plan for now. The cranks are great but look a bit tatty once coating start to wear off. The fork is a problem, Fox is'nt the lightest but I love the plushness it gives you. Xtr brakes are great but pistons also gets sticky, fix with degreaser and hose, then a couple of drops of lube (Q20) on piston edge fixes it! I am now running a LX cluster.....I weigh everything (just like you) but cant justify the cost! XTR stuff is helluva expensive to maintain. I think XTR cranks replaced with XT chainrings (once they are worn) will be perfect if it works.

I agree, they should get some lead poisening....

Spray and cook was sold for many years as an air filter oil for performance aftermarket air filters. They wraped their own sticker on the can and sold it for five times the money!

I second that...those scott saddles are torture. I use a Gobi now and love it, I did the sani nonstop on a hardtail with the Gobi and survived. Even my wife uses one now.

I got it on friday and raced it on Saturday, its great! They upgraded me to a full carbon frame as well! Maybe I'll see you the weekend for a ride! Congrats, its very pretty.

Sure its a race, but if there is a bottleneck near the start I believe you should wait for your turn, if everyone stampeded you would still be in the same place only cause more congestion. Its like a Taxi attitude, its fine to pass on the dirt or force their way to the front in the wrong lane, but the only reason they benefit is because other road users adhere to the rules. If we all did it we would not get there any quicker, just more frustrated. So I-drive, start near the front or ride faster...and if it backs up just wait your turn..
