  1. Thanks for the info Indigo Kid - fortunately I don't use 'Muscle Fuel' I use only the CytoPower (Isotonic) with a spoon of L-Glutamine in (and that is only based on it being the 'first I tried' and I like the taste) I would have thought that 'putting different ingredients on the label to those actually in the produce' was actually fraud' date=' and would lead to prosecution. Just goes to show that we put too much trust in large corporates (who's motive is only profit!)[/quote'] Currently there is no legislation in SA - what you say on the label don't have to be in the product... That is why, from now on, I will rather pay R xxx more for imported products, that have to adhere to some kind of legislation, and know that I get what I pay for!

  3. My big problem is time in the morning after training - it is just so much quicker to mix the supplements than to prepare a meal. I only use supplements before, during and after training. During the rest of the day I eat real/normal food to meet my body's energy demands.
  4. I agree with him. Why pay X amount for a whey protein supplement when you can get more protein than youre body requires from a normal balanced diet? Creatine is more hype than anything else and its got no effect whatsoever on recovery. It has been proven that taking protein and carbs (1g - 1.5g per kg body weight) in a 1:4 ratio within 30min of completion of a streneous training session, will aid recovery. I don't overdo the whole "protein" thing. I follow a balanced diet - 65% carbs, 15% protein and 20% fat. If you train 16hrs a week you do need something to help with recovery so that you can be ready for the next days training session.
  5. What would you suggest one use for recovery then?
  6. I have been using Muscle Science supplements for the past two years on a daily basis.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> The supplements that I use (which are mostly for recovery after training) are: - Optimum Anabolic - Whey Supreme - Creatine Supreme - Staminade Endure With my last couple of purchases, I had problems with the quality of Creatine Supreme and Staminade Endure. Both these supplements contained "rock"-like hard pieces, as well as big hard chucks of the supplements that started to crystallize, almost as if it did not mix properly during the production process. (I even found a piece of "press wood" in my last tub of Creatine Supreme!) I have contacted Muscle Science about my concern, and they did replace the products that I had queries about. However, my most recent purchase still had the same quality problems, and even some of the replacements they sent me had quality issues! These supplements are not cheap at all (it cost me about R 700.00 per month just for supplements). I don't think I will use Muscle Science supplements any more, and they way I feel right now, I will not recommend Muscle Science products to anyone! Does any of you hubbers that also use Muscle Science, experienced similar problems?

  13. Why don't you try those "Top Sport" helmets... I think you can still buy them from Sportsmans Warehouse?
  14. Ride a R 30,000 bike and you will understand...
  15. Go with Santam. Both my MTB (R 30,000) and Road Bike (R 20,000) are insured with them. I had a claim with them before and the claim was sorted within one week. The service I received was excellent!
  16. Same happened with my Selle Italia SLR XP seat... I have a black one and it is turnig grey from the scuff marks. It looks crap, but at least people can see that I am riding my bike Despite the scuff problem it is a great seat - I use it on both my Road and MTB.
  17. Congrats! May you have many happy miles...
