  1. Thanks guys!
  2. Thanks Pieter, I'll phone them. For sizing, would the 19.5 frame be too big for me on 29"? I'm 1.80m tall.. Any help would be appreciated
  3. If anyone hears of an Inbred for sale, please ping me. Sold mine in 2015 just before the kids arrived and now I'm wishing I hadn't.

  11. Thanks very much Rouxtjie I'm now even more overwhelmed! might take it to someone who knows more than me, learn a lot & drink beer...
  12. Thanks for everyone that has helped so far. i am waiting for the shipment from On-One and i have all the other parts i need, except a crankset I think. About the build, how easy is it to do myself? What tools will I need? I'm guessing something specific for Hollowtech BB? Is this something I shouldn't be attempting by myself?
  13. do i need to pack my orange racetec chip?
  14. Thanks to everyone, especially Hairy. I've just placed my order with On-One. 29er white SS frame and a lot of other goodies. Will source fork, wheelset, crank and brakes locally. most likely 2nd hand. not ready for rigid yet.
  15. Thanks Hairy. Appreciate the help. Will drop you a PM
  16. Thanks. so many other cool things on that site. now to choose colours. flip.
  17. Thanks guys. very helpful. I had a look at the On-one frames and was surprised at the price. seems like a good deal. But then I started adding up prices of gathering components and thought I had escaped my range. Perhaps with patience I can make it work. Guess import & shipping will be a few hundred? Any components worth getting from On-One with my budget? was thinking suspension fork. happy to be converted later. Singlespeedguy, I am in Cape Town so will get in touch.
  18. 5-7K. I see some shops are selling 2013 model at decent discounts.
  19. Hi I have read through a lot of these threads and checked all the sweet photos. I currently have a 26 FS & thought that if I added a SS it might as well be a 29er. I see most of you have imported sweet steel frames that have horizontal dropouts. I don't think my budget covers that and I don't want to increase my budget for a second bike. So i suppose my question is whether getting a new bottom-of-the-range 29er is a good place to start and just stripping the drive train? I will obviously need a SS kit with tensioner but that's no problem. It seems like the easiest way to get going quickly and the fact that I'll be losing the lower quality components when changing to SS means it's not too big a deal. I'm still in my 20's so plenty time to get addicted and import awesome frames etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  20. i'm in the exact same boat.
