I ride a M (17") Jamis carbon 29er and I'm loving it went for a bike fit with the Cyclefit boys all I had to do is change the stem to a -16deg and 80mm that's all perfect angles and riding position. PS I'm 1.65m tall

Get stronger, climb better and loose a few more Cm's Attempt a few full marathon in the Nissan Trail seeker events and hopefully manage to get an entry for a stage event ?

Hi guys, I'm planning on getting onto a training program cos at the moment i'm training all over the place and have no objective nor schedule to my training. I get on my MTB bike and ride and have no clear program. Have you guys got any advice ? I saw an insert on Supercycling a few weeks ago about a company "exercise solutions" that will help me with a training program, calculate my limits and provide me with a training program/coaching that will fit within my lifestyle and give me an ultimate goal I need to train toward.

@ Elderon, your bike really looks awesome. PS where did you get that rigid fork and what price was it, is it a tapered fork ? I would like to pimp my Jamis as I use it for commuting and going the cycle cross route with Tyres really make a sense from a rolling resistance point of view.

It was my 1st and last 94.7 MTB event. I started in A8 of the 55km ride that bottle neck held me back for over and 1hr then the second bottle neck another 40 odd min. By that time I was already burnt Medium Rare from the sun. When we headed back to waterfall we saw the 15Km sign and decided to finish the event on 33km. We did 33K's in over 3h21 no thank you. I was very disappointed as I was really aiming for a sub 3h30 LEADSA pls set an example and get this race organised better and listen to your fellow entrants without them this event is not possible. have chicken runs for the technical areas this will make very one enj the event. MOST importantly have a cut off number if you enter late sorry for YOU. Maybe use saseeding for the time keeping this way you have the experienced rides seeded accordingly and the 94.7 1 day warrior's in a separate class or batch.

I Have a Rudy Project Windmax great helmet nice shape and very light maybe that's an option to look at. the fit is also very comfortable and the best part it has great vents and keeps you colon those hot days

when do the entries for 2014 open ?

I went to a LBS and asked them the same question. the guy there offered me a cyclecross Conti X-king with sealant tube and tyre liners what is your guys opinion on this setup. A 700c tyre on a 29er wheel ?

On my 29er training bike I use a 32T - 11-36 Cassette and what I notices is at speed I seem to spin out but lets be honest how often do you hit speeds over 50Km/h on a MTB. I was thinking of going to a 34T but I'll stick to 32T for now

I have recently bled my Shimano brakes they not the best but this is for my commuting bike. When I hit the rear brakes they screech and resonate right through the frame as if you have wet pads,the stopping power isn't that great either compared to the front brakes. Should I use brake cleaner and clean everything off, remove the pads and give them a buff with sandpaper or should I replace the pads ? Hope to hear your solutions

I ordered answer bars 2 weeks ago from CRC and some tryres, The bars were delivered to my door via DHL no charge but tyres are sitting at the post office need to go collect them. I'm sure there will be a charge of VAT

Loo cleats have spacers I'm sure they will work. ask LBS if they can organise a set of spacers from the agents

this is a suggestion maybe try clipping out in the opposite direction instead of going outward with your foot try inwards. I know its not the correct way of doing it but maybe this will change your thought pattern on clipping out ? sometimes you try so hard you tense up and you loose the motion on unclipping an pull instead of rotating the cleat. good luck I hope you come right ?

Hey guys thanks for all the advice, I went a bought 2 new Elite bottles with a nice deep lip one 550ml for the seat post and 1 750ml for the down tube. I also bought a Lezyne Flow bottle cage. Hey guys, I have a giant bottle cage on my saddle at it does not hold the bottles in firmly. if I hit a rough section of track my bottle pops out. Do you guys have any suggestions on what bottle cage to use ? I'm using a camnelbak 750ml bottle maybe that's where the problem might be ?

I had a weird incident a few weeks back regarding a ss bike I tried to sell. A guy contact me very interested, We agreed on a price we exchange details. When I tried to arranged to meet him at a neutral place the guy went quiet. 2 weeks later he then contacts me again saying he was away and busy and he didn't get a chance to get hold of me. I then ask him what area he was from so I could meet him at convenient public place he again went quiet. This is very strange.... ? So I have cancelled the add and decided to keep my ss. maybe this guy got a deal somewhere else but to stop communicating 2 times is a little fishy ? I hope you come right with your claim good luck.
