  1. i don't ever drive my own car...so no sweat for me.
  2. You get the picture...
  3. I ordered my ICE bracelet about a month back. ICE, being the efficient company they are sent the tracking number to me the moment it was mailed. I called the tracking office and was told it was waiting at Rivonia Post Office. This PO branch indeed has confirmed that the package is there...however, they cannot find it. They have not been able to find it for the last three weeks. Excuse me while i scream in silence.
  4. coach?
  5. Damn straight it is. Now scrape it off, spread it on your toast and go wild...
  6. Is that Hairy dude serious or just having a laugh... That has to be one of the most immature, pathetic posts I have ever seen. Hairy, grow up son! Either that or F off to Australia!
  7. Also...please can we get some light shed on the wheels, which personally, I think have come under unfair scrutiny.
  8. Ireland? What were you training here for?
  9. Strong winds? No ways!!! I can't recall a wind blowing that day.
  10. Jousting sticks! what would anyone want with jousting sticks?
  11. To resize with best effect... Photoshop, Save for Web and Devices. Click on image size and resize. It isn't ideal to reduce images to this size but Photoshop provides the least visible compression.
  12. By the way...was I the only hubber with a smartie box on my back? Didn't see any. Then again I was in group OS and finished in a remarkably fast time of 6hrs.
  13. For me it was about finishing the damn thing. That's why I handed in my number and carried on cycling through to Greenpoint. Collected my medal when I crossed the line. Not a medal kinda guy but this one is special.
  14. Despite the k@k weather the Argus was made better by those die-hard supporters cheering us on. Thanks to all who did...and to the marshals of course.
  15. After being in the very last starting bunch and getting off an hour and ten minutes late, cycling through that hectic wind, my old man and I got to the top of Suikerbossie to be told it was too dangerous to continue and the busses were on their way to collect us. Race over. I nearly blew a fuse. Fortunately, we could remove our numbers and continue cycling without Argus being liable... But of course, the waterpoints were packing up, marshals were heading back and everything seemed rather dissapointing. Anyone else unfortunate enough to experience this? On the bright side, we got a medal for our first Argus experience.
  16. Got the email this morning. Great initiative.
  17. Bud, it is a right to live in a safe environment. Constitutionally speaking. Irrespective of taxes paid. For example, if a car with worn brakes is cruising around, it too has a right to the road but it endangers me and you and every other road user. Those guys without their lights endanger her, the car that's coming around the corner that might hit them and any other cyclist they choose to tuck in behind. I agree there's an aspect of disrespect. But there's a fundamental difference between swearing at someone and assaulting someone. Lastly bustthe, has insinuated that it would be appropriate, maybe even humourous to place an obstacle in her wheel so she may fall. Once again, even if said in jest, or in an effort to prove a point, simply not on. Fortunately, not your point of view. skipperw2009-02-25 08:43:19
  18. shocking, poor, disgusting.
  19. Fair enough. Agreed that people should mind their own business, but the other aspect here is that in endangering their lives they were endangering hers too. She didn't have a right to swear at them but she did have a right to keep them away from her if they're without lights. I also don't think this is "the tiniest bull." It goes to the core of what's wrong with us as South Africans. We all have an attitude that stinks of civil disobedience. It's also entirely off-sides to suggest injuring a cyclist (female or male) even if you say it in an effort to make a point.
  20. Who the hell is this butthesickness idiot? Don't you have a moral fibre in you, or are you all about bravado? Seriously dude, why the thoughtless commentary?
  21. Her friend, irrespective of her language, had no right to be assaulted. It has little to do with arrogance and everything to do with small d^ck syndrome.
  22. Hold on a sec...am i missing something here? What's with the apathetic to aggressive responses to this post. If this is for real, it's a disgrace. Whoever that idiot is that hit u deserves a good frikkin lorrying to the head. Squish!
  23. Was listening to 5FM on my way to work. A woman called in to say she saw a taxi drive through a pedestrian crossing yesterday taking a cyclist with him. All the other cars had stopped for the cyclist. Not quite sure of the details. According to her, the driver was drunk and arrested on the scene.
