  1. My entire 3 minutes of racing was great fun! Thanks to the immediate response of whoever was on the sidelines and the medical team for taking me back to the medics tent and patching me up. New Helmet day soon I suppose
  2. Crazy how he is still using this email address.... I saw it for what it was the second he sent the below mails. I then searched his email a few days later (today) and found this thread: message received: (you can see the copy paste he uses on lots of items, he doesn't mention "bike" once" I am really interested in buying this for my cousin as a surprise for him only if you can assure me that everything is in order, I am a petroleum engineer currently on a rig offshore. I want this to be a surprise for my cousin so I won't let him know anything about this until it gets delivered to him, I am sure he will be more than happy with it. It will be secured paying via Neteller as I'm on a rig offshore. So let me know if you have an account with Neteller so I can make the payment asap. Note well: Pick up agent will come for the pickup as soon as I have made the payment. THEN IT GETS EVEN BETTER!! Thanks for the email but I need to inform you about this, I got a message from the pick up agent, am most sure I include that in my previous emails, he said he wouldn't be able to come for the pickup unless I pay him the agent commission fee via shop-rite first in order to be able to schedule a pick up time, I would have loved to pay him directly via shop-rite but there is no way I can pay online! So I have to ask you to help me with the pickup fees, I will include the R1,850 he has charged me to pick up the item with a (1st class treatment), to the payment I will be sending to your Neteller account, so after I have made the payment I will need you to help me send the R1,850 to the pick up agent through Shop-rite.I will send total payment of R19,900 into your Neteller account, which means R18,000 for the Item while R1,850 for the Pick-Up fee and the remaining R50 will be for the Shop-rite charges for sending the fund to the agent is that clear to you? I will make the payment as soon as you agree to help me with this. Kind Regards.
  3. Depends what you want. GCN (Global Cycling Network) on YouTube has a good video to watch, only a few minutes. I needed one ASAP and will limited cash so I went for the Stages as it was available. Picked up the Dura Ace Model for 7k. It only measures left hand side power (then multiplies by 2) thus assuming an equal balance and whenever I give the bike a thorough wash it freaks out and I have to change the battery - even with using a packet or insulation tape. But it has been my most effective piece of training equipment as I can use it on m R800 IDT as well as on the road. Looking back if I had to change I would get one in the spider as it gives a left/right balance (Think its the sram quark [spelling]). and you have it if you change wheels, which ruled out a hub power meter. Good luck, you will only realise how amazing training with power is when you try it!
  4. Amazing! Getting me more excited to race in Israel at next year's Maccabiah Games!
  5. Looks really cool. If there wasn't Wilro the next day Id likely be there. Please keep us posted on the next one!
  6. With the new raffle entry system - does a CSA racing license guarantee one an entry?
  7. If you hear of when he comes home let us know. I will join if the time is appropriate
  8. Love the Cav. Now as South Africans we must shift our main focus to Meintjies
  9. Next year July, the 20th Maccabiah Games are set to take place. The games are the 3rd largest sports tournament in the world and take place every 4 years in Israel. For the past 8 years I have looked forward to one day taking part in this event. Next year is my year. 3.30am wake ups and 6 days a week on the bike are getting me ready to hopefully represent South Africa in this self-funded event. I really love to ride my bike and I used to love Horseriding when I was younger. Now how about combining the two and riding my bike with some Darkhorse wheels. The wheels would be a fantastic edition to the love of my life and assist with getting me to the Maccabiah Games, 2017.
  10. Struggling... what does it look like? where is it on the panel. I am on my laptop
