  1. Saw some photos on Cyclenation as well. Protestors speaking to CSA officials. Most of these complainants are members of CSA. They are governed under UCI and CSA RULES. As they are transgressing the rule of bringing cycling in disrepute I wonder whether they will be disciplined and fined for their behaviour. So bad for cycling. Dirty laundry in public.
  2. I do not think Spinnekop is joking. He is very fair and knowledgeable.
  3. O my goodness future champ sound like we start of with a chip on the shoulder?
  4. Normally you take enough water with you. 3 Liter Camelback
  5. On the day entries.
  6. http://www.speke.co.za/docs/MTB%20Vasbyt%20flyer2013.pdf 25 August 2013
  7. Is it true that there is a general boycott of entries on Championchip. Does that mean that races that make use of their services are also boycotted?
  8. Behind or close to the Wimpy on the R 21 and Irene. So many similar incidents happened there before.
  9. Why do people still ride in that area?
  10. Absolutely no discussion on the weekends rugby. Good one for the Lions?
  11. Does Froome recover that much better that Porte. I think Sky was exposed today as not so strong.
  12. Already covered in another thread. Is it perhaps possible for you to build a bridge and get over this Championchip thing.
  13. I have an idea they might just lose this one. See how well all the top guys get paid see the fancy offices, etc. See how little CSA gets paid. 85% of CSA Staff volunteers.
  14. Not quite right. How much bullying was done over the years by PPA? Will we really know? Do not fool yourselves, PPA is a big business with business partners and they make a lot of money. Do they want preferential treatment? It is like paying your car license. Pay the amount due that the controlling body sets. Do they have a monopoly in SA Cycling with their qualifying races, timing and seeding? Is there unfair competition. If you want to leisurely run you need a license. If you want to leisurely participate in a cycling race first get a license. "Betaal die Keiser wat hom toekom". Why can the rest of the Pedal Power Associations not be formed again?
  15. Jan Bakalants Radioshack
  16. In the end it is most probably an honest mistake that was made. But of course in the land of the blind (cyclist) there is a lot of one eyed kings. Cycling is a pack sport. Once they smell the blood they all attack.
  17. That is the correct way of calculating your entry fee: Marshalls R 5 Coke R 5 Traffic permission R 5 CC ADD R 30 Chip timing R 18 On Line entry R 35 (or CC calculation) Admin costs R 15 Medal R 20 Province and CSA R6 Calendar fee R 15 Venue rent R 10 Prize Money R 30 Timing company travel R 5 (THEY CHARGE R 6 @KILOMETER) If required accommodation R15 CSA officials R 15 Medical Services R 15 Route Marking R 10 Insurance R 10 Safety R 10 Now you need a sponsor or you are going to pay in. And the list goes on. Then add money for profit and money for a charity because we have to have a charity so that we can invest the money in something else than cycling. Like some big race justifying their monopoly with all the charity work they do. Do you see Rugby spend their cash on charities? Only sport that turns this kind of money and give it away. Cycling is a lekka cash cow.

  19. Very uncalled for comment. Can you proof they are dishonest?
  20. The Cyclelab entry service fee is more e than xpensive that of CC. Ask an organiser. What does ASG charge per entry. Most of these charges are added to the entry fee.
  21. Carousel is on 9 August which is woman's day. Make sense to give them a discount.
  22. The mail advertises the race and not the cc service which is the entry facility. That is what you pay not to stand in line on the morning of the race. You can rock up and ride. We must surely pay for a service.
  23. Eish and all the this trouble because you do not have a Blackberry.
  24. What does racetec charge the organiser per entry that you pay?
  25. Either way you will pay both amounts. Organiser has the option to include in the entry fee or have it collected by CC. If it is not charged separately by CC be sure it is included in the entry fees.
