my new baby... so far changed the bars to a cool white Truvativ, some blue Spank hs spacers, top cap and a blue Crank bros seatpost... rear shock to a Fox CTD... fork and wheels next...

On my way to the event Sunday morning, East Coast dj was requesting safety for cyclist TRAINING on the roads for the event... none the wiser that the event was actually that day... also the Suncoast casino food court didn't seem to make provision for the busy weekend, very understaffed/undertrained, waited over an hour for drinks on Saturday at News cafe...

Hey... that was awesome!!.. my first IM 70.3 and first of that distance. .. did two sprints this year, new to triathlons.. goal was to finish and I managed a very happy 6h56....

So I got a Specialized Transition yesterday... first race today, was the Trinity Sprint Triathlon... loved it!

Not sure if theres a seperate thread but can anyone give advice on kit: Trisuit/ 2 piece? TYR/Orca/First ascent? Any feedback much appreciated...

The last list that was posted was supposed to be the first quarters races... new races were "to be added later"... But now a lot are saying you wont get cash back on races entered pre joining, so say iv entered the 70.3, they add it to the list... I then pay my R900 Vitality memberships, do I still qualify for 25-50 % cash back?

Yup... lowest durban sea temp recorded last year August was 19 deg, I believe the wetsuit requirements are compulsory under 14 deg, according to the website...

I entered last night, will be my first major tri event... not bothered if its the same as trirock, didnt do it so course will be new to me... I guess at R2500, u pay for the international brand and hope for the international service and organisation... IM SO AMPED!!

So just got an email from Discovery: Team Vitality starts beginning Feb- first race is The Herald... the events list looks half the size though... doesn't look very interesting anymore with some big ones not included: Ie, IM 70.3, 5150 Bela bela/Ekhuruleni, Lost City, Tour Durban....
