Rinks, I think everyone knew this day would come and I believe it is essential for the trail to be maintained to s set standard. Perhaps it's a good idea to explain to future members how their money will be used and more importantly, from what date this will be implemented?

I'm by no means a strong rider. So those "bumps" I clearly remember as steep, rocky climbs. No doubt I need more experience!

Big up to the dude on the Booth bike. I think we passed each other 2 or 3 times during the race. He gave me carrots in the last 10km. Power legs bud!

For me, the 75km race had every thing - steep rocky climbs, fast open dirt roads, fast rocky descents...what a race! I fell in the sand, in the mud and on the rocks. Only my 2nd race and well recommended! Only neg comment - rather give me a "I survived the race" T-shirt, instead of a bag on not so goodies.

Never mind popcorn, after that comment I needed to scrape birthday cake off the screen....top entertainment.

I have a great carbon 650B HT and a carbon 29er HT. Also building a Cotic Solaris 29er (nice frame). I'm 1.69m (short) and love the 29ers...go figure! The only time I've moved back to the 650B is when the trail got VERY tight and twisty. The 29er feels faster (could be perception) and the 650B feels more agile on a tight track. I like the idea of a fast 29er and a more playful dual suspension 650B...

Just moved from Conti Race king to Conti Race King protection(2.2 - 29er) on the rear wheel, only because I keep on getting side wall damage from my poor steering... I noticed after the first 30km ride, the beading seated well against the Stans rims, but I lost air pressure over night. Removed the wheel, pumped to 3 bar and gave the sealant in the tyre a good shake around. Yesterday's 28km ride at 1.5bar was no problem and this morning all sealed and happy! I have a feeling the sealant needs a few rides to seal the walls of the tyre....

What a FIRST race for me! mud and more MUD. But still managed to enjoy the "60km" actually 45km ride. Any one catch my classic over the handle bars, back flip dismount into the water??? That must have been funny to see!!! Rookie in orbit - the water was DEEP in some parts.

Nice pic of the shot...be careful of the nice shiny machines when taking pics! last time I did this, the reflection in the machine showed I was not wearing much - first coffee in the morning and all... . My friends didn't appreciate the gesture and didn't seem to notice the caramel looking coffee flowing into the cup. Isn't that's why they call it a "naked" portafilter???

or rather I never realized....Friday must hurry up now!
