I only calibrate each time I put my bike back on the Powerbeam trainer after actual riding. I use zwift on my iPhone so the app and monthly premiums were done through iTunes

That’s crazy. Also be careful of the excess. I found a cheaper insurance than OUTsurance but the excess is R2500 or 10% of the claim compared to OUTsurance R3300 excess. If OUTsurance changes excess to R20k (what it will be with other place if SDR is stolen) then they are much cheaper.

Anybody have knowledge of Quadsuresa for insurance? http://www.quadsuresa.co.za/ They are quoting me R827 for my 2 bikes compared to Outsurance R2 241. Most of this is for my Duke and I just had to get quick insurance so only shopping around now. I'm not too bothered about excesses etc

Fastbike has an article comparing the R, RR and XR over 3 days. Didn’t like the R, thinks XR is great but recommends RR. I think it depends on what you use it for

I commute from Centurion to Pta CBD, so no proper highway riding. Maybe presence will be important there but for my commute I have enough power to be where I want to be in traffic. The commute is easier than with the K1200S on the other end of the scale
