When looking at the smaller capacity bikes keep an eye on the Kw/kg ratio. I’m biased toward the 390 Duke as I bought it to commute and for the wife’s first bike after a scooter many years ago.

I have never braaied game. What do you recommend I start with that is readily available in terms of a recipe? When I was younger mom used to make venison pie, either a cream or a beer based one. Local butcher has game wors so must ask what else he may have.

Sophia (6 year old Rottie bitch) has struggled with arthritis for long time. So special food and meds. Weekend playing in veld she starts limping. Thought maybe stepped weird in a hole it will go away. Took for X-rays today. Arthritis in both front elbows but also in back — can’t do anything about it. Weekend limping caused by by torn ligaments in back leg so that must be mended. And typical bastard Rottweiler she has HD she actually needs hip replacement of a fusion. Getting quotes now. Sometimes life is a bitch

I need to understand how the 4.5hrs in Cobb works. Normally you could get 2hrs heat - I use the Cobb stones but guess will be the same with brickettes - so when you need heat so much longer, do you start a small secondary fire at about 1:30 so you can replace the brickettes once the first batch is done? Like a Webber type approach?

I have a BMW and KTM, service from the former is just so much better than the latter. Prices for normal service isn’t much in either case

My wife is learning to ride on the 390Duke, unfortunately failed the license. In my case I was lucky in anticipating she would want to do it so bought the 390 rather than the 690 as it would’ve been a bit much for her, especially given short legs. Apparently misunderstood where she should ride and went wrong way, when she stopped and reversed she failed for rolling backwards. But will try again and then we can do runs together [emoji41]

Any ideas where I can buy an old fashion bell to clip onto the collar when letting the dogs loose in the veld? Maggie has taken exploring to new levels and the tall grass isn’t helping. At the moment it’s a case of hoping you spot the tail!

The f it goes into final session on Sunday it’s a stroke of genius, but I think day 3 and 4 over weekend would’ve worked better.
