I bought some Tiger Claws & fitted them to my Rocky Mountain. So far I am very impressed with them. They grip evenly through the corners unlike my previous Mezcals which let go & then gripped when pushed hard. They roll well on tar & are very quiet. So far I am happy with them.

I have been using these grips for 3 years & they are the "add on" that has been the best value for money. I suffer no discomfort at all whilst using them.

I spent y2k in Tromso Norway. I have never been in such an icy wind as was blowing on arrival at the airport. I'd rather face the 09 ACT wind again!

You are already doing enough & the road training is a bonus.

These hubs have a rubber seal that needs constantly lubricating.Easy enuf to do but not during a long ride.It prevent you freewheeling as the chain will be thrown of the cassette as it engages.Get a set of I9's.They are the business!

I second wiredonkey on the Decathlon info. Touring bikes incredibly cheap & great value for money.Might be a lot cheaper than for paying for excess weight at the airlines & a lot less hassle.

After 4 days in my sponsors Anatomic shorts I was at the Doc for saddle sores & in much pain. I switched to my Giordana bibs & after 1 day saddle sores had diminished & by the end of the Epic they had disappeared.

The best line is to the right of the trees as you enter the muddy section.Keep your weight back & your hands off the front brake.Easy!
