  1. Your best bet would be to drive into George and play around at Witfontein, some of the best trails in the area. They are still open.
  2. Yup, I sent a crank set back to them. Normal Post Office (SAPO) land mail tracked. Took about 6 weeks. Once it arrive at CRC, about 48 hours for refund. You can send it airmail tracked, but it is about double the cost. Land (maybe went via sea I am guessing) Mail for the box, was about 40x30x20cm and 1.5kg cost about R220, airmail tracked would've been about R450. Edit: Oh, they told me air would've taken about a week.
  3. Yeah, experienced this as well.. Nowhere near as quick as DHL, previous express orders have been at my door with 48 hours, now with Skynet about 11 days. Here is the tracking record FYI. https://ws01.ffdx.net/v4/etrack_blank.aspx?stid=skynet&pageid=0002&cn=056830757071 Edit: When I saw that the parcel was in JHB I called to request invoice to pay (as I have every time with DHL) to speed up delivery, their reply was simply "we don't do that, you need to wait for us to contact you". And then once paid, their policy is a 48hr turnaround time to release parcels once monies reflect in their account.
  4. There is still no word on mine going on 10 weeks.. So the supplier has graciously sent out a replacement which I am getting sent via Aramex instead as they don't work with anyone other than USPS. So, lets hope I have it by next week.
  5. I've done the CRC order a few times, but with DHL direct.. Longest time I waited was 6 days over a weekend and my last shipment was only 36 hours. Unfortunately the shipment held up in JIMC came from a supplier who did not offer any service but post.
  6. strongs....
  7. Ja, crap indeed. I'm on 9 weeks and counting
  8. Yup this is true. I'm in CPT, asked a JHB friend to go to JIMC to see if he could figure things out for me, there are signs up everywhere saying the facility is closed to the public all mail will be forwarded to the local mail centres in due course.
  9. I'm assuming they did not go via SAPO. I've also recently got items from CRC in days, totally dealt with by DHL though.
  10. Nope
  11. I've been trying for 8 weeks. Sigh.
  12. How did you get in touch with them?
  13. Thanks Her poor inbox though, about to get bombarded
  14. Might have something to do with country of origin as I ordered something that came from Germany and also only took a week or two to get through SAPO.
  15. I found a thread on mybroadband.co.za relating to USPS and SAPO. Some of the guys on there stated up to 65 days for delivery... So guess we wait.
  16. Thanks.. Tried that site, unfortunately no more info than the USPS site. Suppose I just have to wait. Sigh.
  17. The quickest that was available from the supplier, which was USPS Express, but unfortunately makes no difference when it hits JIMC it seems.
  18. Sitting with same issue. Parcel left California on 15 April, arrived in JHB a few days later. Still nothing from SAPO, I'm close to tears. Which tacking site did you use and did the tracking number change at all when arriving in SA as I know that sometimes happens.
  19. Funny timing this.. Literally busy trying to find a decent pair of hardshell or plastic cap knee pads with side cushioning as well.. Like ION K Pact, Fox Launch Pro, 7iDP Flex etc.. but not easy to find locally to fit before buying (have tried Fox and their biggest size is too small)...
  20. I've been riding with this for about a month now.. Is nice for a ride that is just too long for one bottle of water and too short for a pack. Also, I have started wearing my chinbar a bit more often after seeing one too many incidents of other riders injuries, so with this I can carry it without it being attached to the lid for the up ride without a pack. Also has a small section for a bomb and cable ties etc.
  21. #timelimit But, having looked at the route distances and gains, I should be able to manage all of them in a morning.
  22. Rad. Up there next week with my bike, so gonna try hit some local trails.
