  1. Hey Sir. I too live in Olivedale. I shoot straight down jacaranda, onto I think its Cumberland, then right into what ever the road is that goes towards Sandton Clinic. Left into Bryanston Drive and all the way to the Spruit. Hit it from there to Emmerentia. Join me one weekend it would be awesome. Just remember my Virgin cant do the full distance as yet.
  2. I have been riding the Spruit on and off for the last 4 years and have never yet had a bad experience. I'd like to take this time to thank all the other riders of the Spruit simply for being awesome. This past Sunday i finally managed to convince a friend of mine to start riding. He was both a bike and a Spruit virgin and was understandably nervous and a bit shy. While we only managed a mere 9 km, it was one of the coolest rides I've had in a while. Everyone on the Spruit was super friendly and even got off the path for the newbie to be able to continue unhindered. This was ideal as he was able to build a bit more confidence as we went further into the unknown. Spruit riders. You truly are legends and made the whole experience awesome for my virgin. He has vowed to be back next week. Keep them smiles coming. Saffer - Out
  3. I'll trade you an old couch.
  4. Well it depends on how well you ride... if you are fast enough for the bike to be a threat to the rest of the field you could call it "The Black Plague" cos they wil fear it when they see it, BUT if you are a slow ass like me it could be called "Black Tide" - Slow and not very scarey.
  5. With you there Mutt. So deff gonna have my Camel, Mtb shoes, Peak and all fo rthe 94.7 You got an issue? grab a tissue. Hey mampara, I have heard of these stretchy ninja things, where can one get them? that has to beat the velcro straps, pool noodles and old tubes i been using.

  16. dude, deff gonna rememebr it... was that good, both indoors and out, the weather was keiff, the scenery was amazing, the rides were fantastic. all in all it was just plain brilliant. In the Augrabies national park we rode into a heard of about 50 eiland. Man that was cool.
  17. yea gasping... it was bloody fantastic. quiet and relaxing. thanks guy.
  18. hey machstix, that was the prototype... the wheels were help in place with velcro. I have since redesigned the bike rack.
  19. Anyone in JHB keen for a ride in Support?
  20. and lots of veld sessions we had indeed... AS far as we can work it, we slipped one past the goal keeper in Springbok National park, surrounded by Springbok. So i hope to hell my kids does not support the damn sheep shaggers.
  21. Dude, i would deff recomend it, if you are able to entertain your selves... i the NC there is a hell of a lot on nothing... hours and hours of nothing. but the scenery is wicked and if you look hard enough there are a few really nice places. i can find all the places for you if you gimme some time, but i would not recoment you go too much further than Augrabies, Unless of courst you are planning for August/September for the Namaqua Flowers. then go as far as Springbok. There are some really awesome wine farms out there in Kakamas/ augrabies area that are well priced.
  22. so take someone else' missus along for the ride... hahaha, or maybe organise a guys week. we had all our gear in the back, tents, camping stuff etc, incase we needed it but stayed in BnB's and hotels most of the way.

  24. wel we had the choice, do what others do...(go overseas) or do South Africa, like never before. we toured the northern cape. Was an awesome 3700km trip, with the bike onboard. rode places like Augrabies National Park, Springbok National Park, and klomp others. Here is a pic of the sea on the western coast when we got to Port Nolloth. Anyone else done anything similar?
